I have applied for the MODP and will have my assessment in a couple of weeks. I would appreciate any feedback on the day to day role as a MODP.

Hi! Found this forum, after finding it via PoliceUK.com I'm currently a civvie working for South Wales Police, where I do some of the training for the Airwaves handsets, as well as dealing with the current upgrade of radios that SWP is going through. I am in the middle of the application process for the Met, with my Day 1 at the end of October. Anyone else from the South Wales area, with a current application to the Met?

Hi just joined the forum. Im almost 34 and have passed my application. I have my assesment at the end of the month and am very excited and nervous. The only thing that really scares the hell out of me is the interview as i have no idea what they will ask.

I have just applied for the UK polce and have passed papershift, and will be going for PIRT on the 28th September.I am mostly concerned about the medical to be honest (eyesight) and for that reason, am a bit pessimistic about it all...but hey, one can only try ones best, right? Anyway, glad to meet everyone and good luck with whatever it is you are currently doing. Speak soon Stay safe!!

Thought I had better say hello and if there are people who are possibly starting in Jan for Suffolk then it would be great to hear off you. I have just had my Uniform fitting and got my medical in November, so its fingers crossed that its all plain sailing. Tori

Hi all Hope someone can give me an idea of the shift patterns for the boroughs. I'm getting familiar with the areas personally, but when it comes to stating my preferences I'm unknowledgable of the types of shifts. No preference on which ones at the moment, so please fire away!! Many thanks Gemma

Hey, I'm new to the site. I'm 23 and have applied to join Lothian and Borders. I sat my Assessment Day last thursday and passed the SET's and the Run but narrowly failed the push pull . Keeping my chin up and getting another attempt in 2 months so i'll hopefully be more than ready!!
