Hello. I aim to join Wiltshire Special Constabulary when recruitment opens next (mid 2020). My preparation list so far is: 1. Fitness - bleep tests to min 5.5, aim for higher. 2. Core Competencies (College of Policing). 3. Wiltshire Police - Force information and history. 4. Role of a SC. Any particular additions or removals recommended by any one, particular Wilts users? Are police houses or other accommodation still provided for new or transferring police officers? Where do officers live otherwise? Is any accommodation provided for officers who require it as part of duty? Thanks. fbo

I am looking for some advice as my application with wiltshire police has been accepted and I am taking the PIRT next week. I have been looking through the How to pass the PIRT book and I am having no problems with most of it apart from the numerical reasoning part of things(mainly percentages) . I was just wondering how much of the test is made up of maths and if you are given a calculator (The book says no but I have seen posts on other websites that say yes)

Hey, I am so pleased that today I received a provisional acceptance letter from Wiltshire police as a PC! Has anyone else applied to work within Wiltshire? How long do all the checks take?
