If you search for the hash tag on twitter or on Facebook Wiltshire police pages. 22 properties searched, 7 arrests, £2k seized, a stun gun and a couple of hydroponic set ups seized also. I'm a bit annoyed I'm stuck in a boring office in the day job.

Transferee Application

Hi all, I am considering transferring from Avon and Somerset Police to Wiltshire as I have recently moved from Bath to Trowbridge and I am struggling to get into Bath for duties due to time constraints. Can anyone comment, publicly or via PM, on life as an SC with Wiltshire? Especially if (unlikely) you've transferred from A&S to Wilts! We have ESIBS in A&S, an online calendar and messaging system for SC's, does Wilts have anything similar? I am going through sign off for solo patrol with A&S and I've read that I'd have to be accompanied for my first few weeks/months to get an understanding of force procedure/local area, which is fine! I have A-B author…

I have been offered to attend the PIRT in April. At the bottom of the letter it says that if I pass the PIR Test then I will be invited to an interview that afternoon so I will need to prepare for the interview as well as the test but is it going to the competency-based interview? Thanks

Interview tips

I was just browsing other forums and saw this reply from Vulcan (Wiltshire) on top tips for the interview process. I think it was advice to a candidate in the north west who hadn't got through the most recent application process, but it looks like it could apply to any force. http://www.policespe...81#entry2170581 I think I'm right in saying he's one of the most experienced interviewing officers in the force (according to the HR person I spoke to last year) so should know what this force is looking for. I'm assuming the other interviewers are looking for something similar - so if you're about to go to interview it might be worth reading...

Hi all, I've had a good look around for any info on this that's specific to Wiltshire and can't find anything. I sent my vetting pack off mid-feb and I've not heard back yet. During this time I've passed my fitness and medical. Does anyone know how long it takes to complete the vetting process?

Wiltshire Police Specials Application.
by Jackwakeham0- 5 replies

Hi all, I am currently in the process of filling out my application for a position as a Wiltshire special constable. I am 18 and am slightly concerned I may not have as much 'life experience' as other people to write about. Although I do have a friend who is 19 that is currently in her last month of training with Wiltshire specials, which makes everything feel a little more promising. I was just wondering if anybody that could give me any tips to implement when writing my application to make me stand out from the crowd, and anything that may be relatively specific to Wiltshire. Thanks for your help in advance. Jack Wakeham
