Not new news, but I think worth posting and pinning to make visitors to this Force Specific area aware that Wiltshire Police does now have a cadet scheme running (albeit a pilot currently, as of beginning of 2014). http://www.wiltshire-pcc.gov.uk/News-and-Events/News-Archive/2014/Wiltshire-Police-launches-pilot-volunteer-Police-Cadets-scheme.aspx

WE ARE LOOKING FOR POLICE SPECIALS Following the recent success of working directly with retired Police Officers I confirm we are now looking for Police Specials to become our Charity Ambassadors. Air ambulances do an amazing job but when the have to land away from a hospital without a helipad, valuable time erodes and secondary transfers via a road ambulance into A&E Departments can prove fatal. Our life-saving HELP Appeal is providing funding for brand new Helicopter Emergency Landing Pads at Major Trauma Centres and key A&E Hospitals across the country. The HELP Appeal is the only charity providing funding towards these life-saving helipads and your support…

Hi All, Just wanted to quickly posted that our intake have nearly finished our training and are attesting on 25th January.. just OST 4&5 and consolidation to go. Having been a SPC in a different force I can honestly say that the training provided by Wiltshire is outstanding. I understand that a new intake have just started their training. If any of the new intake are on this forum I wanted to wish them good luck for the next few months. Enjoy your time at HQ, engage with all of the material and ask lots of questions (I am renowned for that!). Looking forward to being on division and meeting the rest of the team!

Anyone got through the online assessments? Been given the application form. But also for Dorset Currently a special in Bristol (A&S) so trying to decide now which one to apply for... any tips? Trying to organise some sort of observer shift/visit to both forces. Anyone reccomend any stations in Wiltshire to visit? (or know of where most probationers are likely to end up) Cheers and good luck to all applying.
