Hi all , just about to post my medical and vetting documents via the envelopes provided , but I have just noticed that on the covering letter it says please return the medical forms to Weston Road ST18 0YY . However on the envelope provided the postcode is ST16 9JZ , and ideas which is the correct postcode as I don't want to send the forms to the wrong place . Many thanks

Good afternoon forum, I was wondering how your uniform is given to you on collection?... Is it all boxed up?.... If so can you get it out before you are told to wear it through training?... Don't get me wrong, I won't be roaming around in my uniform whilst waiting to start training (or during and after training apart from on duty!) as I'm sure most people would agree it will be like Chrsitmas has come early, and I would like to see what I will be wearing and any gadets I might have! Hey guys, just wondering if there is anyone else on here starting their training next week (06/04/13) and if you're excited/ nervous about the first day? For me, I can't wait. Really excited about learning loads of new skills and putting them to good use, and of course, meeting loads of new people!

After a long wait I have today received my training letter for Staffordshire Specials. I begin my training on the 27th April. Very excited about starting this been looking forward to it for a while now! I will be placed upon completion of my training at Cannock LPT . Looking forward to working with some of you soon!

Anyone know how to go about organising a ride-along here in Staffs? It's for a couple of friends who might be interested.

Just wondered why there hasn't been a drugs test or medical before specials training

As title really, would be good to get some force specific chat going in here. I'll kick things off, I'm a serving special for Staffs based in the south of the county, not been in too long but am at the AC stage of reg recruitment. I've learnt a lot since joining the force and the best part of policing which I was totally not prepared for is the good feeling you get from talking to MOPs and getting a thanks for just doing your duty. I'm heavily focused on community policing rather than response or NTE for this very reason, might seem selfish but I get more satisfaction tackling local community issues over other duties. Hey guys new to this forum and have a little question, I applied to become an SC around June/July time last year, ever since getting the letter to say I passed it has taken ages to do anything. I sent my medical and vetting forms back straight away and it took them till about October to even give me a medical and uniform fitting. It then took till mid December for my vetting to finally come through. As such I received a phone call telling me that everything had passed and we were all set to go but however the January training was full so they couldn't get me on it. I've asked when the next training will start and she replied 'might be April'. So does anyone on here kn…

Ladies and Gents, from what I have been told any training due to take place at Weston Road HQ this weekend has been cancelled due to the snow - probably best to check with the powers that be, but this is what I was told by one of the trainers.

Hi, new to the forum. I'm currently waiting to start my training with staffordshire on 5th jan 2013, just wondering if anyone else on here is starting then too, will be working with the stoke north PT.
