I've been wondering if i can get a hold of an equipment vest myself, can i use that instead of my belt? i imagine i'd be a lot quicker and wouldn't bang my cuffs into everything I asked a reg the other day if he thought i'd be allowed,and he doesn't seem to think why i shouldn't be able to wear one instead of my belt. Would like to hear others thoughts on the matter

had my assessment centre yesterday, was a good experience and very challenging too. Does anyone else have doubts after? i feel i messed up the written tests. My handwriting was poor, i never managed to finish because as there was simply not enough time anyone else have doubts after?

Hi there, I've got my interview coming up this Friday for Staffordshire Police specials, and I'm a little nervous as I'm not 100% sure how the interview is going to go. Can anyone give me any advice or guidance on how to prepare and what good resources to use to prepare? And any general advice for the interview? Thanks.

Just a quick one, how many times can you apply to join the police without committing yourself to one of the force's? for example, lets say WMP, West Mercia and Nottingham were all recruiting at the same time, could you submit an application to all of them or is just one application per force at a time. If so, how would each force find out if you have applied to another etc? cheers guys

Hi there. I had a phone call yesterday saying I'd passed the interview for Staffordshire Specials which I'm absolutely over the moon about! I understand I've still got to get over the final hurdle though, I have my vetting forms to fill in as well as my medical forms. I was wondering if someone could help me with a few things I'm concerned about. 1) My BMI is a little bit over 30, I'm working on it in the gym and eating healthy to bring it down, I am physically fit though even though my BMI begs to differ! What happens if my BMI is a little bit over on my medical assessment? Do they fail me completely and make me re-apply? Or defer me and ask me to come back when I've l…

Anybody else going for the regulars, I see they're starting to recruit again for 2016. The assessment centre sounds difficult but it'll be worth it ?

Hi guys, Just wondering if they're any specials or regulars from Burton? I'll be starting my training in January 2016 and although I live in Uttoxeter, I'm hoping to be stationed in Burton.
