Hi team, This may have come up before, I'm not sure but I thought I'd ask the question anyway. I have been asked by numerous regular officers through out my career so far asking, "WHY DONT WE HAVE NORMAL INSIGNIA WITH JUST SC ABOVE? For instance, S/Sgts 3 chevrons with SC S/Inps 2 pips and so on Your thoughts please?

Hi everyone, looking for some guidance if possible please. Back in 2007 i got a caution for affray, which was genuinely self defence as me and a group of mates got set upon by a bunch of morons just looking for trouble. I got arrested for defending me, group of girls and my mates. Vetting have failed me for this and told i can't apply again. As you can imagine im pretty gutted about this is there any thing i can do?

Hi everyone. So i passed my interview to become a special, and im due to do my Bio-metric assessment on the 17th of February, so i can proceed to complete my vetting forms. As im aware my credit report will be checked. Does anyone know which credit company staffs police use?

Been browsing around here for a while and thought after today id sign up and say hello I had my interview at stafford HQ today for the special constabulary and had a call this afternoon to say id got through So its just waiting for the next stage now. So just thought id say hello and keep checking up here seems to be a lot of info that can help Jamie

Seen it elsewhere, but it's not on here for some reason! Staffordshire have re-opened recruitment for Special Constables - if you're interested in joining you need to go to your local police station and fill in an expression of interest form. You'll then be contacted by the relevant Special Inspector and invited in for a session where they'll go through what the role entails and the process goes from there. Does anyone know the rules or regulations around using vests instead of belts I've asked my mentor and regular set they seem to be ok with it does anyone else wear one or not if so any recommendations ??
