Just a querie about them as they dont tell you anything about the warrant cards, I keep mine on me at all times (in case of that extreme emergency where you have to identify yourself as officer) but never comes out, however I was in tescos the other day getting my usual shop and also buying alcohol, I was asked for ID but didnt have any on me, I was thinking could I use my warrant card as ID? but thought no better not, and the drink was taken off me, much to my disappointment lol can this be used as ID?, thoughts, comments or what the book says would be grand as I just dont know Daleeee

Hi guys, Im heading up to do my SET's and fitness tests in a few weeks so hopefully they'll go okay. Ive been doing the passpapers and working on my fitness a lot but Im just trying to look ahead abit in what might come up in the first interview. If anyone has undergone the first interview recently and wouldn't mind giving me some hints or tips and a run-down of what to expect it would be hugely apprecaited as Im just working from looking at information on the websites just now. Feel free to comment on this or to leave me an email. Regards

Hey everyone! Not been around for a while been in the thick of house renovations! So how is everyone finding it a few months in? Have to admit im not really enjoying it, iv only had my own neighbour once and usually I go out in 3's. Not even had a chance to break in my boots as iv never been walking on the beat always in a car or van, which is dissapointing as you never really get to talk to any members of the public, unless its to give a ticket for drinking. Im also pretty shocked at the time taken to answer any calls we get. E.G we got a call to go pick up a knife which had been found in the street and left there. We didnt have any other duties and were just driv…

Hi all, I just want to say thanks to the officers that helped my get home. Here's what happend. I got a punture on my bike last night and i was in the middle of nowhere and i couldn't get my spare inner-tube and my tyre back on the wheel because i broke my arm a few days ago, luckly two officers came across me with their van. They got out and said "can i help you?" i said "well if you could put the tyre on the wheel and pump it up?" he said "no i can't do that". I said to myself this is not my lucky night. He said "i can do better than that, i can take you home" i said "okay then" The officer said to the other officer to get my bike in the trainsit. But i do have t…

I just had to post this to thank the lovely girl who called me today with feedback to an application I was unsuccessful with. It was a bit of fresh air when she told me it was a very good application, but I didn't provide enough evidence for certain points. And would you believe the three main bits I didn't provide evidence for; Use of radio equipment - I was a Comms offcer for St Andrew's Ambulance at major events ie football, t in the park duh (Why didn't I put that?) Dealing with members of the public on the telephone - I work in a virtual office dealing with in excess of 400 calls per day? Using computer equipment - again, as above always on the computer. But sh…

Hi. My partner went for his medical a couple of months ago and passed everything apart from his hearing test. Last week he went to redo it and the nurse said that he had a 'dip' in his left ear at a certain frequency. She said she would speak to doctor the following day and ring and let us know. We haven't heard anything for over a week now! Can anybody give us some advice?? Is would heart breaking for him to fail at this point, he worked so hard
