Hi folks Up at 0500 this morning for a 0700 start and when I get to the station, one of the bar staff had taken the key for the Airwave lockers so I couldn't go out...! Sorry, but that really annoyed me, why did she take it home with her? :D Different if it had been an absent minded one off but apparantly it's a non-stop thing - she was working away for a while so I don't know her. Complete waste of time - that's the first genuinely negative experience I've had yet - getting up at that time to volunteer your services and having to go home again! Also, are anybody else's radios locked away like a banker's bonus? They're more secure than the CS! They're in a locked…

Been sitting on a school bus in the SECC for the last 30 mins in a car park jam packed with buses! Saw plenty of cadets kitted out at the choices for life event today. Anyway, always on the hunt for nice places to eat put throughout the country so where do you recommend and why do you like it? Me first, Spice in Hamilton is a super Indian restaurant - great service, lovely food and decor and well priced. Martin

I was in Glasgow last night for a Cliff Richard concert (as my girlfriend loves him, I know what you're thinking :D ). Afterwards we went out in Glasgow from about 11pm - 3am. We witnessed 5 seperate fights; one involving bottles, and one stopped traffic on our way out (pretty much a royal rumble). I was thinking of asking to do a couple of shifts in Glasgow; what is a typical shift like? Aparrently where I work out of is the busiest in Strathclyde but going by last night I find this very hard to believe! *Apparently

I start my HEP B course 2mrw at 1520-not looking 4wrd to that, but hey needs must and all that. I am getting my HEP B course through my own GP but I understand most need to contact Occupational Health to arrange their own appointments. Telephone number can given from Jacton. Just some basic info: 3 vaccines (min) over a 6 month period 1st Vac - ASAP 2nd Vac - 4 WEEKS later 3rd Vac - 4 MONTHS after that It is VITAL that the 3 vaccines are given within this time frame as there is a BLOOD TEST - 3 months later to asses imm…

One of my hidden talents (although some may disagree lol) is poetry so in an effort to spread the love, I've composed the following…Enjoy: Twenty-ninth of March, a 'special' day, And one I won't forget. Different places and unfamiliar faces, People I'd never met. White shirts, black ties and worried eyes, What was to lie ahead? Hard work, long days and OST, And the feeling of being dead! But united did my syndicate stand, Push-ups galore for each closed hand, "No fists" we were told, But Rambo was bold, Down for twenty! Ten was plenty! Up we'd get, Kenny would smile, I'd be boaking after half a mile, But on we went, dug in deep, Dougie's benchmark was…

Having read that down south, several forces only choose to recruit at certain times, I wondered if Lothian and Borders have ever done this? To my mind they've always recruited - or am I wrong?
