Hi, I am a cadet, i have my final interview panel for the Police as a constable in 3 days time, at Jackton. I've been doing alot of research (I think?! it just seems that all the research could be done the night before so I must be missing something) but anyway - looking at the probationary time-table. What is it you actually do at the 1st and 2nd year one-week courses at Jackton? And the reconvention, I take it that is just further assessment of your skills, and I heard its also an oral exam on the six modules you cover at tulliallen (Police and The Community, Evidence, Crime, GPD, Road Policing and Investigative Skills). ? At long last the letter has arrived , Got my conditional offer through the post yesterday. Cant wait till 19th October to start, any others get their letter? J5

Hi I'm due to receive an interview date shortly, and have heard usually the fitness follows swiftly afterwards. Just had a minor operation on my arm today nothing serious and been told can't do weights for six weeks with hvaing stitches. Will keep the running up. but concerned about the fitness test if it's sooner rather than later. Does anybody know if this could be re-scheduled should i be sucessful at interview?

Hey guys, Just wondering; i know this should most likely be in the recruitment sec. but i thought id rather hear from hopeful SCP candidates. I have a credit card, which i've declared on my application, but should i declare my car finance? I still owe 5400, but obviously its well regulated into monthly payments. Do you think this will put a black mark on my application? All the best, Sean

Hi I am currently a SC in South Wales however I have an application with Strathclyde as a regular. I have my initial interview on the 26th October. I have a rough idea of what the interview involves. However coming from Wales my knowledge on Strathclyde is basic. I have been advised to speak to a probationer etc which is difficult for me to do. I have been on the web and got allot of information off Strathclyde's site. Any insider help from serving officers or any one would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Dan

Hi Folks, Looking for a bit of advice here. I received an email from the Divisional Commander's PA. I have been invited to attend a meeting with him to received the above award. Hoping not to sound to much like the stereotyped ladies out there and absolutely no offence meant in that comment but, what should I wear?? Some have suggested black uniform (Black T-Shirt, Trousers), some have suggested a suit, some have even suggested going casual civy) To be honest I don't have a clue and hope that some of you can suggest.
