Hey, I have my induction at Coatbridge office tomorrow night and was wondering - black wicker top or white shirt? Haven't done a shift yet (as I forgot I was going to Scotland's biggest music festival - doh!) so not really sure who to phone and ask. Kirsty

I've done a couple of shifts now as a special, and I've heard talk of a 'training log' which we should have filled in on here at the end of each shift? Where do you get this 'training log' as I don't seem to have one? Is this what they use to count up your number of hours worked over the year or is it SCOPE? Cheers, Jim

Hello, I passed my final interview last week and am due to start training for L&B Specials on Saturday the 20th Wanted to say hello to everyone on here and thank you all for the interesting reading on the Forums which helped me leading up to both interviews. Hi everyone, I'm just about to start filling in my application form to be a police constable. I'm living in the midlands at the moment and applying for Lothain and Borders because my girlfriend lives in Edinburgh, however on the form about my address, will I be looked over if i put my current address as its far away, and shall I put my girlfriends address instead? Hi Anyone know how to go about finding out why you were refused appointment duirng background check stage? Got lettered yesterday to say no appointment will be offered after having passed initial interview - gutted and want to know what to do next- after all I have got 12 months to do it before I can apply to Strathclyde or anyone else again! Is there an appeal process? Ta HEather

Dear One and all Could anybody who wishes to be added to the Events list for events happening in Strathclyde, please indicate their preferences of shift i.e - Early, Back, Night as there is a fair mix of opportunities for all. Just let me know by putting your name up and your flexibilities. Note that these events are from as South and Ballantrae and as North as Loch lomond and include the Arrochar Triathlon and the Bute Bike Run. A really good one is the Clachnacudden games which in the past has been fantastic I am led to believe. Dougs

:smiley_offtopic: Can any of you Grampian Guys and Girls out there tell me if you ever have to cross borders into Northern Constabulary's area, (presume grampian starts around forres brodie area on the east coast) and what the score is with juristicsion if making an arrest etc. in another forces area. Just curious to find out as just going through the process of joining Northern.
