Guys Have read multitudes of threads on this topic - particularly prevelant to forces south of the border. whats the scope up here: - Is it allowed ? What type of Training is required for standard and or response ? Does anybody do the cycling ? Cheers RnB :D

What sort of further training are you getting in other Divisions? Do you have a specific night for training, and what sort of topics do you cover? Has anyone been told of further courses they can go on etc. Thanks.

Did anyone make to the recruitment days, i went to the Kingspark Hotel, i got to chat to a special constable who gave me lots of tips and went through her typical day to day shift, i also got to talk to the person who might possibly be interveiwing me, i now feel more relaxed about my interview now (which is next week) she explained that they are not trying to trip anyone up that they are just looking for you to be yourself and let your personality shine through. im glad i turned up as it was very beneficial.

Hi folks, looking some advice on the following questions: Q1 Scenario 1 - I have short hair (shaved in close all over) i have heard that some forces carry out a hair sample from crown of head for drug testing/dna profile. Can you please tell me if anyone here has recently been through the strathclyde process and do they take hair samples? If so i can get the old hair growing pronto ! Q2 Where can i get some books/notes/help to brush up on my mental arithmetic for the numerical test, i.e long division, multliplication etc. I have downloaded some past papers from strathy website but looking for more info. Hey Folks, Looking for some information regarding my medical which is on (Wednesday), i have passed all other stages apart from the medical, if i pass this then im accepted to the Septmember intake. Anyway... Can anyone run over what the medical is about?... what happens..? & mainly when will i be informed if i was successfull on my medical or not? I feel that im going to walk in and the nurse from the occupational health unit will take one look at me and laugh.. I am actually more nervous about my medical than my interview. On that note, im 20 years old, a very fit and active person. Cheers, Chris

Given the overall success of the first effort kindly organised by the young Kenny, I reckon we should sort out another - hopefully get a better balance of males-females although I'll let Dougie approach any female groups which *may* be from Jackton this time Would be good to get some of the serving specials out too - Scott, Nic, Murray etc etc :D Anyone up for a Friday night some time soon? Location and time tbc but if we can set a date which suits everyone then it's all good. Martin
