Hi im new to this forum, i got my interview date through for the specials, its on the 11th june, does anybody have any hints or tips on what questions im going to be asked so i can be fully prepared, thanks :-)

I put in an application for the specials in late November/early December 2008 and I've passed everything so far - just fitness and the interview left. I have some *serious* work to do before I'll be ready for the fitness test. Does anyone here know how long it is between medical exam & fitness?

I know when i started as a special many moons ago now i was nervous and apprehensive , i was on a an intake of like 1 so didnt have the support network (if you like) of other specials to lean on , As you guys are getting towards the end of your training in no doubt itching to get out, is there anything that you are worried about that maybe others on here can/could help you out with? I was cacking myself cos i didnt know what to expect-soon disappears though when you get your 1st foot chase 20 minutes into your 1st shift, lol! Anyway , any questions ?

Hi guys, Just a quick question with regards to the credit checks. My credit history probably isn't the best, albeit it, it's not the worst in the world. My "debt" is probably about £700 all in, between a credit card and store card so not a lot at all really. I've missed a few payments over the last year or so, just out of nievity and lazyness . I have it all in order now though. Would this pose any problems? Bear in mind I never had any problems when joining the specials. Just for my peace of mind really. Thanks,

So does anyone know what is happening with the recruitment for the regulars at the moment. We are now into a new financial year and the target was 800 by the end of April. Is the recruitment still ongoing at the "fast-ish" pace it has been over the last year?

hey guys dont know if its possible or not but would anyone be able to email me the pdf of the law section of the training cd as i either managed to wipe the cd last night or i was just given a blank cd, not quite sure which

Guys With three weeks to go until our training is complete, does anybody have any idea when we get issued with armour? I know MM asked the instructor yesterday and they didnt know but just a question to see if anybody else either from a previous intake was issued theirs and was it at the end of completion of training? RnB

well done syndicate 2, was very impressed today with your push up technique, we in syndicate 3 were going to do some with you just to show you the proper technique but you all seemed to do ok

Hey, Has anyone got the new L&B stab vest? I got measured for mine in November and I am still waiting, but I have noticed them getting delivered every week in the ops room for the officers at my station, and slowly seeing them on officers when out on duty. Does anyone on here have theirs now and use it? If so, are they any good? Better than the current style? Paul

I found the cs exposure ok today. Think some struggled more than others. What do you all think ? I have had a sore head all day though so having a few wines to ease the pain !!!

With the payments due soon for those who have met the hour requirements, how is everyone getting on? You close to it or way off? According to my records I have 12hours to do until I meet the requirements.
