Hi Guys, I was at my drugs screening yesterday with around 40 other folk, it seemed that there might have only been 4 or us that are going for specials. They recruitment SGT said that while we were waiting to go for screening she would do "pre-posting" interviews with us. (correct me if im wrong, but did she mean this more towards the regulars?). When you folk started training, when were you told your divisions & subs? Cheers, Chris

I had my medical examination today at Jackton and managed to fail the hearing test. I was wondering if anyone has experienced similar situation. It was a bit of a shock as otherwise i am in perfect health. Apparently my left ear doesn't pass the standards set. I am told to have another test through my GP but was curious if anyone has experienced anything similar (time scales etc). Cheers Jack

So! Who feels ready to hit the streets then? Do you feel like you've learned enough to get you started? A few of us have our first shift(s) sorted - anyone getting nervous? 11 days from today.........

Just a heads up to those of you who have still to send off your forms and money...I sent mine off last week and received a letter saying that the process can take up to 8 weeks so if you're keen to get it sorted before you start at your station then I'd probably send it off asap. I got two of the training staff to sign my form. Martin

I was just wondering what is considered smart but casual in the eyes of Strathclyde Police? I go for my medical on Wed 17th June but the letter states "Smart buy Casual" Jeans and shirt/polo shirt?
