Evening all, I am looking for some advice on transfering to NP. I am currently approaching 4 years service with Police Scotland and looking to relocate to Northumberland (home). I note NP are currently recruiting transferees from other Home Office Forces, however not from PolScot, MOD etc etc. I understand this is due to the difences in legislation and training requirements. I have contacted the recruitment team who advised they have no immediate plans to take candidates from non- Home Office Forces. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has applied for the current Police Officer openings ( September/ October 2017) in Northumbria? I have completed the first stage which was some basic details and recieved an email back inviting me to go to an engagement event within the next two weeks. Has anyone had experience of these events within this force that could shed some light on it for me? Also this is probably a daft question but can anyone set out the way the recruitment process works from that initial registration all the way through till a solid job offer providing your successful at all stages? Hi guys, I did my SEARCH assessment centre with Northumbria Police on the 25th of January and we were told results would be in approximately a week after that date. We were given information that the final interviews are between the 5th of February and the 14th of February. How long did people wait for their results? Has anyone else who did the assessment on the same day for Northumbria heard anything yet? T

Anyone going to the assessed group exercise this week? Anyone done it before and can advise if it’s a pass/fail day or is it a “getting to know you” type day that carries a score to the SEARCH assessment? Thanks.

Anyone have any ideas when npol will open recruitment again ?

Does anyone have any information on the recruitment window opening date? It was during August last year so I expect it to be the same this year. It closed quite quickly as well. I contacted force HR and they said recruitment will be opening but there's no set date. I've noticed quite a few forces open up in August already so I'd assume it's a popular time to schedule intake before April next year.

Anyone able to confirm whether new PCs are able to select a preference for initial postings?

Hey, I applied on Sept 14th 2016, and have yet to hear a response. It currently states my application is "Under Review" but it has been since I finished all required tests. I was just wondering if this was usual to wait this long. Apologies for any spelling errors, I'm using my phone to write this.
