hi all, im at northampton uni on the fda police degree, passed stage 4 medical and vetting, have training scheduled to start in the next few weeks however was just wondering when will you get issued with uniform, warrant card etc.. attestation is due to happen in september which i dont understand as i have UDT training in april, any help regarding what order different training and stages occur would be helpful guys :D

Days to do are getting few...days to go are going slow... HR response to my sitrep request... I am hoping to have allsecurity clearance completed by the end of week. Bearing this in mind I amlooking to assign collar numbers and send contracts to the whole intake at thebeginning of next week. Apologies that the process is taking such a long timebut the Information Unit have recently had a lot of checks to undertake. Unfortunately Northamptonshire Police have had to temporarily place on hold its Special Constabulary recruitment, with the October 2012 intake being postponed. Does anyone know when northamptonshire police are recruiting for PCSOs again?

I couldn't really find a place where I could introduce myself, so this seems like the right place... I am currently waiting to receive notification regarding my position in the recruitment process. I have heard that they have temporarily froze recruitment, and did contact HR just to confirm it, and yes, it turns out to be true. I still have my hopes up, though, that I will get there soon enough. So, yeah, hello!

My employer has announced that my role is no longer required. Whilst this brings with it its own problems, they have hinted that there may be a possibility to relocate... to Cheshire ! Marevellous! Just what I wanted to hear...all the effort and work I put in over the last year into getting into the Specials, ready to start next month, only to be snatched away at the 11 hour. If the relocation isn't offered then there is the process of having to start all over again, job searching, re-training, taking low pay just to get a foot in the door, possibility of having to work weekends/ being on call etc... - not much use when the constabulary expects you to work the weekends r…
