Congratulations to the new SC's that passed their exam today! Finially after ten months since I applied I'm all ready to collect my warrant card :-)

How do! Just a quick one really...who (and how) do I contact about a potential transfer from Leicestershire SCs to Northamptonshire SCs? Also, does anyone know if this is a viable option, and if so, what would the process be? Would I have to go through the entire recruitment process afresh irregardless of my current tenure with LE or would I have to undertake an abbreviated version of recruitment? I do not want to jump the gun on this one! Regards, JONNYLAW

Hiya guys, I have an interview as a special coming up on the 23rd November. As this is on a Saturday morning im just wondering whether this is normal? as previous interviews have always been during the week. Ive also been informed that i will be told whether i pass or fail immediately after the interview and if i do pass then i will immediately have a fitness test straight after the interview. But in a previous application i was given around 2 weeks notice after the interview for when my fitness test was. Im just wondering whether Northamptonshire have changed the way they interview due to mass applications or something. Also wondering whether i take my gym kit with…

With Northampton looking at taking so many more specials on does this mean there looking at changing the way they take people on? I just noticed that they are doing an interview awareness workshop and an assessment weekend if your application is successful, I heard they'd never do all this??

Hi everyone, I have previously posted about fitness test warm up, asking if not being able to do the warm up would be a issue ( butt kicks are not my friend!) I thought someone, somewhere might be interested to know, the warm up ( which Last time was for me worse than the bleep test!) is no more! Instead today we done bleep test upto level three then some light stretches. So I had nothing to worry about - yay! Ps I passed! :-)

Afternoon all, I've got my interview booked for the 12th of this month, and I'm getting abit concerned. I understand I need to read up on the force and the core competencies, however in the email I originally got about the interview it mentioned a welcome pack. I'm yet to receive this and Thursday is fast approaching. Can anyone shed some light on this or can I get them off the force website? Thanks Darren

Hi, I'm a Northants Specials applicant, and yesterday I got the email to say that I've been invited to interview! Just was curious as to what the procedure from there is? I've heard people say that its just the interview and fitness test, other people say that they do an assessment day, etc. Further to that point, I'm slightly worried because I've just found out about the lengthy vetting process which apparently happens after a successful interview, and the reason I bring that up is because I did declare a verbal warning I got last year on the initial application form I filled out.. so surely to have accepted my application, they would have had to carry out some init…

Hello all, I'm new here - but have been a lurker for some time, reading all the northants posts! Anyone here on the regulars applications - from the open day last... September or October was it? The one where it was interviews in December 2012 and Assessment Centre in Feb 2013? Since the last communication - where those of us who had been successful at assessment stage, received the email dated 8th March 2013, saying only some of us that did pass will go through to the next stage - ie fitness and medical, has anyone heard any more?
