Hi, Apologies for the most strange question: Does anyone know if you can fail the fitness test on the warm up? I know that sound very silly, just a little bit worried about butt kicks on the warm up as recovering from a small injury, can do bleep and running but butt kicks seem to be difficult still. Thanks

So I applied to become a special and I failed the application, not really sure why as it stated in the email they sent me, due to a high volume of applicants they are unable to give me feedback at this time?? Does anyone know if I will be able to find out or is it just a matter of applying next time and hoping I don't fail again? :/ Many thanks.

Just thought I'd air my feelings on the above subject. Our IL4SC 1.12 class of 2013 are soon to attest in just under 2 weeks time on 26/06/13. Of course I'm very excited and proud to have passed initial training, but am disillusioned as to why we're not able to wear the standard tunic/ceremonial dress for our special day? According to our e-mail regarding the order of service, we've been asked to come in dressed in office/black fleece attire for the ceremony...and rumor has it that this is a 'cost cutting exercise' as they cannot obtain 30 tunics in time for our attestation? Does anyone have any experience of transfering in to Northamptonshire? I'm looking to move in to the county due to a new day job, and would be needing to move force as well. I'm currently a serving special (IPS, etc) with another force in England. I've been told by HR that I would need to wait for a specific advert to come out for transfering specials before I can apply. I've never seen such an advert before, does anyone have experience of this? Thanks

hi ive passed the assessment centre in February 2013 and im awaiting the next stage is there anyone on this site who has any information on when that might be?

I hope somebody can shed some light on this, as I got no reply from the Force yet. According to this page: http://www.northants.police.uk/default.aspx?id=7569 "The minimum periods of residence in the UK required before meaningful checks can be completed are for Standard Vetting 3 years. How are you guys getting on now?

Got my interview for the specials on Wednesday, any tips? I've been going over the core competencies and done a bit of research into Northants police (PCC, Chief Constable, Operation Challenge + Guardian), anything else I should cover? Also, how long do the interviews normally last, for organising transport afterwards!

As a county rather than general discussion. Are we pleased or worried about the impact to SC s and the force regarding reserve constables being considered by the PCC?
