Has everybody had the chance to read ACO Peltier's update email yet...? Sounds like the L3 ban could be lifted in line with the Commissioner's departure? How likely does everyone think this is to happen?

So when I was MSC and we had our uniform fitting at Hendon (April 2016) we were all measured and fitted on the day, and took all our kit away with us. However, i'm the only recent ex-MSC officer in my class (there's one other but he resigned in 2012 so handed all his kit back in), I was told to keep all my kit, and my baton as they knew I was joining the regulars hence the reason for leaving the MSC. Apparently now, it's done differently, we have to go up to Hendon but we take nothing with us (except for me that is), we're measured and then the uniform is delivered to our RLC some weeks later. Guys and girls Anyone on here who's starting there training for Met PC in November?

I see we are possibly getting Hi vis armour covers apparently similar to BTP where PPE is carried on the vest itself according to one of the intranet forums Personally Black or Hi Vis, vest worn PPE will be a lot comfier in the cars..

It's been a while since someone has made a new post so I'm going to start something new. How did people find training at hendon, they also had Richmond and Bethnal Green as a training centre that was in 2014 how much is it changed in the past couple of years ? When I done my 4 week course at Hendon I personally didn't like the old way how officers were doing things. I also believe that 4 weeks is too little to learn legislation and you're going out there as of as a full warranted police officer.. how was yours ?

Hi All, Just a few questions, any advice would be appreciated. Finished my Day 2 Successfully so awaiting conditional offer and start date. Just wanted to ask a few questions regarding the actual training course. I know these questions might be obvious e.g. OST and a positive non arrogant attitude etc but would like a heads up from people who have done it or have knowledge of it. 1. So I am about to resign (tomorrow) from the MSC after 14 months as a Special, and starting training for a new PC role on Wednesday 30th, looking at my timetable it says "Attestation & Talks Simpson Hall (Hendon)", I would therefore assume this means we attest right at the start of our training course? When I trained for the MSC attestation came right at the end and we got our warrant cards then, however looking at this new timetable it would appear to suggest we get attested right on the first day, will we also get our warrant cards right on the first day, and then have them withdrawn if we fail to complete training? Just a quick topic on the 3 online tests for the Met Pol. Currently have my CKP and now waiting to get the online tests sent to me. I was wondering how easy or hard these tests are, and what do they consist off? Are they timed etc? I have done some practice SJT and Behaviour style questions on the 'Jobtestprep' site already, but aren't sure if they are at all similar in content ? Hi Guys, Okay, so I passed my day 1 with another force but decided to move to the MET. Recruitment (penna) said they have handed my feedback and application over to the met to carry on with my application (day 2). Does anyone know what number or email address I could use to contact the met (day2) to see when my assessment is or to get a rough estimate of when I should be expecting this assessment day. Another question, I have been told on my day 2, you get forms etc to apply for the interest free loan for the CKP. Does anyone think I should start my CKP sooner so I get a quicker start date or doesn't that matter? Sorry for all the questions I don't know who else to…

So according to the report by Commander Lucy D'Orsi, 56.4% of MSC are not completing their hours with a quarter not doing any hours in the last 3 months. This clearly is not good for the MSC. D'Orsi also suggests that this is not being challenged and dealt with in line with policy by MSC supervisors. She also states that the MSC is "a separate force which works in parallel with regular officers rather than integrated and complementary." Thoughts on these comments? Is she right? What needs to change?

Hey folks, If I have posted in the wrong section I do apologise. However, does anyone know if the HTCU (high tech crime unit) within the Met Police has some "brand new" technology that no one seems to of heard of that can break/hack into Apple iPhones (old and new) or am I being fed a load of bull by PSB??? I am thinking of applying for the both roles: Communications Officers and Supervisor roles....Can anyone shed some light on the training and generally what the role is like? Is Metcall a good place to work?
