Hello does anyone know what shift SNT's work in Barking and Dagenham your help would be greatly appreciated I am due to start training this month and have been given the above bourgh just wondered what shifts are worked there. Thank you

Hi not sure if this has come up before but I have a question. I know phones can be seized if we take pictures of things or scenes but I know of a few people who has been to court for traffic related offences, and due to not seeing a DL, the person has been let of as the officer has not seen a photograph of the person. I've seen traffic officers take photographs of persons on the PDA but the oridinary PC don't have access to them. If I was to take a photograph of an individual on a digital camera and then place these on the mg11 or attached to the ticket, what would happen? Can I do this?

Could some one please tell me whether it is possible to download the recording of the beeps on the Met Specials website that they sent us? How long is the duration between each beep? I want to do a practice test can I set the timer on a timer watch? Sorry if my question is rubbish. I basically want my practice run to be as close to the real Macoy as possible. Thanks.

I passed my day 2 assessment almost 7 weeks ago but hadn't received a reply so I emailed the HR department and I just received an email saying that my application is at the final stage where a manager just has to sign it off in readiness to be offered training dates but there are no dates available until later in the year :new_sorry: Problem is, I'm at university and I was really hoping I could do the intensive course during the summer so I can get it over with instead of the weekend course which is way too long. So when are the next training dates going to be available? EDIT: I always seem to forget this part, I applied with for the MSC position

So i was supposed to start training on the 8th of june but my vetting hasnt gone through as of yet so ive been given training dates for in july. I was going to be doing the every sunday training but i now have time on my hands to do the intensive course over a 4 week period. I dont want to fail anything but want to get my training over and done with, do people recommend the intensive course by any chance? I'm stuck on what to go for

Hi fellas, have been interested in becoming a police constable for a while now and before I splash out a grand on the CKP, I'd liked to know whether a cannabis warning would hinder chances of recruitment. I was issued with one two or so years ago and was told by the officers at the time that it won't be stored on the Police National Computer, but only on their systems for statistical purposes. I haven't been stopped since. I'd like to know whether this warning would need to be disclosed and how likely it is that it pops up against my name. Has anyone yet received a confirmed place on this course? The last I heard was from an email informing me that the May course had closed and that I was being considered for the June course and would be emailed a conditional offer later that week although still haven't.

I have just recieved a few very strange/ confusing emails regarding my vetting, has anyone else? Hi All, Thought I'd start something that I can update while I'm on my hybrid course with the MSC, you may or may not be interested, but it might help out any nervous future recruits. I'm on the Hybrid course at Hendon and Bethnal Green travelling from Chelmsford, Essex. I started on Monday 13th Jan 2014, and the course will run until 3rd May 2014. Day 1 So Day 1 started off terribly! Hi All, Simple question really, as a regular just out of training what is the normal process for placement? Appreciate there are lots of boroughs op however I'm interested to know if all new officers go to response (or similar) or is that lots of different departments they can be placed on?? I applied about 3 weeks ago and know it may be too soon for me to start twiddling my thumbs but what is normally the time scale for a response back? I looked back on the website to see current status for recruitment and it says they are recruiting but then some where else it says the specials and other volunteer jobs are currently closed for met so abit confused. How long is it normally for a response back. Is anyone currently going through the process themselves? I would like to hear of others that are going through the same thing as me! Thanks xx
