Hi I am just wondering weather or not the percentage you get from day one may effect you later on down the line in the met? Today I recieved my results from day one for pcso: Overall 56% Respect for race and diversity 60% Oral communication 100% Written communication 83% The pass mark is 50% so I only passed by 6% so I was wondering weather or not this low overall score will come back to haunt me later on down the line if I get the opportunity to become a PC? Do they ever look back at previous day one results? Thanks.

Hi there, is there anyone currently completing there workbook to become special sergeants, which started ast year? 1. How are you finding the book? 2. Have you had any guidance on how to complete it? and if so where? 3. Has your MSC sergeants been helpful? 4. What type of things have you been doing for evidence? I am currently completing mine and I have had very little info on how they want the evidence recorded, I am hoping I am not the only one in this boat. Look forward to your replies..

I heard on the grapevine today that the new owners of the old Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station buildings have offered the Met the use of the ground floor male police station cells for use as a Metropolitan Police Museum on a 99 year lease at a ‘peppercorn’ rent. The offer is apparently under consideration by the Met.

Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but the Met seem to have launched a community messaging system, so you can be contacted by local police about local initiatives/incidents, and also wider ones in the event of major incidients. Seems like a good idea to me, but I wonder how many people will actually sign up. http://www.neighbourhoodlink.met.police.uk/registration/

I'm looking to transfer into the MPS out of Essex. I have had it confirmed from your HR department that I am able to transfer with rank - so that's an immediate positive! I am currently on Response and Patrol here in Essex. I was wondering what the closest approximation of that would be in the MPS? We attend all Grade 1, 2, 3, and 4 jobs. Does anyone have any experience with working in the Newham area? I am most interested in Newham, but am open to other areas. OSU also sounds relatively interesting to me, however from what I understand this is being discontinued now? Can anyone clarify? Thanks in advance!

If I buy them in advance of training can i still claim the money back if I keep the invoice? And in the Met am I right in saying which boots y…
