Hi Folks, After passing the assessment centers and fitness i have just got to pass the medical which (hopefully) i should pass through fine, im 5'10 and 15.9 stone just got a few pounds to lose to get to BMI 30 so not worrying too much about that, i have 3 weeks left until my Medical so i should have lost the weight by then. My first question is, if you are a couple of pounds over will the Doc turn me away or is there any leway on these things? i run 3/4 times a week varying between 5k and 10k each time so im fit and healthy. Second Question, If all goes well on the medical i am on the July intake, is there anyone on this forum that is in that particular intake? Than…

Hi all, Probably been covered a hundred times but just curious as to what we are being issued with when it comes to uniform in Lancs? Is it still HiVis or have we got the black stab vests now? Also if anyone's got an up to date kit list we will receive? I'm guessing we get it on DT2 weekend. I would greatly appreciate it! Hi Everybody, I have had a good look around the forum and read some interesting stuff. I have been invited to an interview for the Lancashire Specials next week after passing the assessment before Christmas. I am wondering if there is anybody that can provide any snippets of advice (obviously without breaching any rules). I really want this and want to be as prepared as possible. I assume that the Lancashire officers are familiar with the case of Andrew Blades, one of your officers who has lost his job following a manoeuvre with a vehicle that resulted in a minor damage only collision according to news reports. My question is, do you know of anything being done to help him and challenge the madness that has happened regarding this offence?

Probably asked a few hundred times before... During training at lancs hq for special constable when do I receive uniform and kit, also do you get a kit bag or do I need to buy one. Thanks

Hi, I'm now at the medical stage of recruitment for lancs specials. My medical is early may. How long does the medical take and what does it entail. Also after my medical will I hear the results of the getting process or do you only find out if its a fail? Fingers crossed pass these stages and then training July. Cheers

Yes, I know what you're thinking, not another one. However, I thought it'd be nice to share my experiences of the recruitment system as it stands currently, as for me not everything was straight forward and I did experience a few proverbial 'bumps in the road'. Hi guys Had my first stage of SC assessment last week and unfortunately failed my (written exercise and verbal reasoning). To be fair I am devastated because I felt like I did really good (or at least good enough to pass) and obviously something did not go well.
