Sent my application in before christmas and got a phone call to attend an interview. At the bottom of the confirmation email it says 'this is not part of the recruitment process just an informal chat'. Anyone got ideas into what this means? I havent a clue anf just want to know what to expect. If it helps the email came from the vetting team.

I have recieved my vetting forms for becoming a new PC. It is asking about past disciplinaries at my current/previous jobs for the last 10 years, does anyone know if having disciplinaries at a previous job will effect me being taken on as a PC? Would appreciate any advise. Thanks

Hi all, Been a very long time since I have posted on this site, seems all the old posts have gone :D It's been about 6 years since I failed at the final stage for PCSO and told I was ineligible to reapply for about 4 years. It was honestly disheartening when I had a start date, knew the area I was going to be assigned to and got on really well with the Inspector. (I shouldn't of become a silent partner in a Ltd company which then dissolved and although I hadn't been a managing director for years, made me ineligible till 2012). In the meantime I've been back in the RAF for a short while then got myself an Access diploma at Lancaster and Morecambe College (Amazing course…

I am partially blind in one eye and can only just read the top letter on an eye chart with it. Can I still join the police because my binocular vision is quite good? If Lancashire have 'high' eyesight standards. Then could I transfer my application to a force that test using different criteria? E.g they use your binocular results?

Hi all, I am a Hampshire special but due to a change in employment I will soon be moving to Blackburn. I have been in touch with Lancs constabulary and am currently sorting all the transfer paperwork out. I thought I'd come say hi and ask about your experiences in Lancs. What sort of duties do specials do? Are the specials well integrated with the regs? Anything else you can tell me would be good.

Hi everyone, (I'm new to this forum) :new_wave: I had my AC yesterday; it was a resit for my verbal reasoning. I'm happy to say that I passed, and I have been invited to an Interview. I've read the tips that Recruitment have sent me, but I was wondering if anyone who has been through the process from start to finish can offer me any advice? Thanks in advance.

Hey all, I have my final force interview coming up for the regulars later this week and I've been asked to prepare 2 questions. Do you think it's best if I just straight up memorise these questions, or would it be better to type them up (perhaps give them a copy to refer to too?) and take them to the interview with me? I was also thinking of whether I should be taking notes on their responses. What do you think would be best? Also, any other general tips or advice would be great. Cheers.
