Lancashire Constabulary

I'm currently in the process of applying to be a special for lancs, does anyone know the period of training and when it is covered?? Presuming over weekends, the problem being in my full time job I'm not sure if they would give me every weekend off for this and I'm debating whether or not I will actually be able to go any further with my app

Hi all, Does anyone know if there is any vacancies for supervisor's?

Hello I've got my PIRT tomorrow, and i've been revising my maths and my logical reasoning. Is there any suggestions that can help me? Or maybe how the day is laid out? I know a little about it as i've finished my 2nd year of college on Monday with D*D*D, and my Mother teaches the course so shes got a lot of resources for me. Also, if i pass when do i know and how? And what happens after? I need to also drop my BMI from 30 to 28 (I'm 6"7, and i weigh just under 19 stone) How long will i have to get fit? Much appreciated Nico

A quick Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to my fellow Lancastrian Specials! I can't wait to get out of duty following a (forced) few days off Special-ing over Christmas. I'll be out on New Years Eve and New Years Day. Here's to a hopeful 2013

Hi All Northern Division is having this intiative rolled out as of this Friday, we had a presentation it during a meeting this week and it's been decided (for us) we're going to get on board. They said the other Division's do this and it takes up nearly all of the SCs in certain Division's time. Any experiences/typical shifts on this Op/things to expect? Thanks

A thread to discuss Pennine Division. Whether you're coming here, working here or interested in this division then this thread is for you. Cheetah

Hello, I am a PC for BTP and have my driving course with Lancashire Constabulary in a couple of weeks, just wandering if anyone has been through the course and any tips etc, I am reading up on road craft and the highway code already, just wandering people's experience of the course, have been told it is a very good course run and Lancashire run it very well. Cheers

Can someone help me by telling me where certain cultures/ethnicities are located in Lancashire. For example i believe there is a big muslim community in Blackburn and the Gay/Lesbian community is mainly in Blackpool. If it cannot be answered here please provide information on relevent links Many thanks

Hiya all, I have my interview coming up in November. As I live just out of area; are there any bits of information relating to the generic issues happening on an division basis? (I wish to increase my local area knowledge) I have tried the force's website, but this seems to drill down to too small an area. Any assistance gladly welcomed. Neil
