We're opening up applications for SCs, However we're doing it a bit differently to how we did it previously. To apply you must attend one of the 3 recruitment events at HQ, and you can then apply online once they give you the link. Hello, I am currently under conditional offer awaiting results from my vetting, It’s currently been 4 weeks since my acceptance of the conditional offer and I noticed on the 8th July they did my financial checks. Anyone have any timeframe of their previous vetting? Way to eager at the moment!! I've also sent an application through as a full time officer under the new apprenticeship scheme, spoke to specials recruitment who said I am eligible to apply which is all good. With me passing the assessment centre in the past 6 months, does this mean I can skip the assessment centre for the full time role or will I still have to go again? (Providing I pass…

I'm currently doing a favour for my mother and scanning in old police stuff from my Grandfather. Does Hutton have anywhere I could actually do some research for her? She wants to check dates of promotion, locations he worked in etc.

"chief reserves the right to refuse appointment without giving reason under section 6 Police Act 1996" Problem with vetting review

Hi need some advice as I havent been treated fairly. They made silly and ridiculous excuses with my vetting and when challenged, they turned round and said "the chief reserves the right to refuse appointment without giving reason under section 6 Police Act 1996" Its so unfair as I went through alot of hard work and 2 weeks before my training they said this.
