Hi Guys, For the people who have passed the recent assessment centre, what time/day have you got your fitness test as I wanted to know if people were at different times, hopefully going to try change the time of mine. Thanks

After dropping my daughter back to uni on sunday in Plymouth i was ambling along the A38 on my way home when a two car RTC occured and a single crewed traffic unit arrived but when he exited the car i noticed he was armed with a hand gun. Do you guys double up your ARV and traffic commitments or was he likely to be from some other unit?

Hi, my understanding is that as part of the Special recruitment process, the medical form is completed but no medical has to be undertaken and passed unless you are specifically called for one - is that right?! I'm just wondering what other hurdles there are to get through!! thanks

In the current climate of no money anywhere & recruitment freezes nationwide - it maybe a silly question... Is there anyone in D&C that can offer any inside knowledge as to when they're likely to open the doors again for transferees & how long the list is? Without giving too much away, I'm an experienced PC with 5+yrs in a variety of roles. Specialist skills such as intermediate driving standard, PSU, taser & OSPRE 1&2 Sgt's tickets. Are these skills that D&C consider or do they just pick from the list, first in first out? I could do with moving for family reasons but under no illusions that this is unlikely anytime soon. HI, I have recently been told my assessment will run out oct 2011, and that D&C are not expecting to recruit before 2012, therefor i will have to reapply. I am very gutted about this and i cannot make sense of the whole situation, can the assessment not last longer than 2 years under these circumstances, this is not our fault! surely it would make sense if the 80 on the waiting list remained there until recruitment was needed, as they want to save money, how is telling us to reapply saving money? anyone else in this situation?

Hey all, Has anyone else recieved confirmation of vetting etc and been told they will be in a suitability pool for the May intake? I was on holiday during the first weekend for the January intake so I'm now looking forward to May, if it all goes to plan! Rose
