Hi guys Was wondering if anyone can help me a little, I've passed my assesment centre with Wiltshire last August, unfortunatelly found out later on that intake date will be a whole year wait, so I moved my application to DC, and my question is, how long you had to wait for your intake date- I know there was a milion of similar topić but they are from 2015/16 so I was wondering if any of you had some more recent experience, I don't really want to wait another year thanks

I've recently completed the eligibility screen and realistic job preview for Special Constable recruitment for Devon and Cornwall Police. My application was referred due to visible tattoos, they are small, non offensive and easily covered so I believe that once they are reviewed they shouldn't be a problem. What should I do now? Is it simply a case of waiting to be contacted? The specials recruitment is now closed, but I completed the two online forms before the close date, does that mean I will be considered or is it likely that because it was referred I may have to wait until the next recruitment? Any help is much appreciated!

Evening all! I am finally through to the last round in the never ending recruitment campaign. I am just waiting for a provisional start date before vetting begins. Is there anyone else out there at the same stage? I passed my final interview, medical and fitness on 5 November 2016, just wondering how long I will be waiting for another email to confirm posting preferences. I live in Plymouth, this will be my primary choice, I have been told that it could be an eight month wait (or longer) until start....which I am not fussed about, seeing as I'm in the process of leaving HM Forces. Hi everyone, I just want to cry my head out here.....I passed my interview and fitness test last year ( for the special constabulary ) and was checking my email everyday since in the hope to find out when my training date would be. All i received after one year is a email telling me that , if i am still interested to join the force, i would have to repeat the whole process again , because of some changes within the force :'(

Hello!! Just wondering as the precious topic is quite old now, any serving D&C officers know if transfers are likely to open at any stage? And also does anyone know if they did, would it be likely to get in or is it fairly difficult? I know nothing about this at all just starting to look into it now! Also if anyone knows, do you get a say where in Cornwall you go? Or can they just plonk you anywhere? Thanks!

Hi there Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, I tried searching but could not seem to find anything to do with what i am asking What i would like to ask everyone, is the security industry a good place to get experience to make me the best candidate for the police? Devon and Cornwall are recruiting student constables and I managed to pass through the application stage first time which I like to thing is good as I am only 19, thing is I know that I may not be invited to the assessment center and if I am I may not pass it, So i have to be realistic as I am only 19 I know really I need more life experience, so would it be worth while getting an SIA licence …

Morning All, I am one of i don't know how many still in the system from July 2013 application date. Currently passed fitness/medical etc in July 15 and await an intake (missed November's grrrrr) and just wondered how many others like me are out there?! Anyone heard any news from the grapevine? I know its difficult subject with government cuts looming but its so painful being so close and hearing nothing!
