Congratulations to any one who passed interview stage yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't for the 2nd time. There was a lot of people who passed whilst I was waiting yesterday, only 2 of us at the time didn't. I will pick myself up, dust myself off and re-apply in 6 months. Once again, congratulations. Matt.

I've applied as a SC for the Devon & Cornwall Police Force in the June 2014 campaign and the applications were due in by 22nd September, for the next stage of the process taking place (interviews) late October. How long do you reckon it'll take to hear back? And do i find out if i made it through the paper sift via email/phone/post?

Hi guys , Just wondering if any of you could shed some light on a question I have about tattoos . I have a full sleeve on my right arm , black and grey and not offensive at all (just a few portraits) . Obviously when I applied I was told that I would have to wear long sleeves all the time , which still doesn't bother me that much as have heard the black long sleeve wicking shirts are actually pretty nice and comfy ? Only thing is I have heard on the grape vine recently , that if your tattoo is obviously not offensive , too bright or what not , you can wear short sleeves if okayed with sargeant despite it being a full sleeve tattoo ? Didn't know if anyone would cl…

Just wandering if anybody who is waiting for a date to start regulars training has heard anything yet? Seems to have gone all quite after the fitness testing day, don't know if there are any new training intakes in the pipeline? How long did any serving guys have to wait after their fitness tests before they started? I know it's a long process and you have to be patient but I was just after a general idea as I am looking at booking a holiday and don't want to risk it clashing with a potential start date! Thanks for any help.

I have come across this, so what are your thoughts or can you expand on this?? Please see the like: http://www.devon-cor...ing-preference/ (Training preference We are currently developing an open learning package which will allow students to undertake the academic aspect of their training at home. This option could include e-books, web-based seminars and various other methods of learning at a time and place convenient to you. This will reduce the number of training weekends in Exeter, making joining the Special Constabulary available to people who previously could not commit to the conventional weekend classroom programme. Some benefits could include: Learn at a tim…

Hi Can anyone who is service at present advise me how organised the Devon &Cornwall specials are ? After attestation what is the structure like, can you get on with things or are you held back ? I am serving in T.V.P. at the moment and trying to transfer. So far, comparatively, D&C seems very disorganised. I have heard from someone else in the same situation having issues. I really don't want to waste time trying to transfer if its not worth it in the long run. I don't mind volunteering, but I don't like wasting time. Please pm me if preferred. Many thanks
