Hey all, I'm possibly going to be starting SC training early next year, could anyone please give n indication as to the equipment/uniform and quantities I'll be issued?

Has anyone applied for the info evenings in November. Also does anyone know when camps are looking to recruit again?

Hi guys and girls, I'm considering transfering to Cambs, I have spoke to HR but they couldn't give me all the info I was after. I'm hoping this is where you guys can help. I am currently serving in Norfolk, I'm independent patrol, basic driving and am currently the district PDU supervisor looking after new officers. My questions are: Would I have to redo any probationary period, if so how long? Would I keep my basic driving ticket? If not how easy is it to get? Is there opportunity to get a response course? I'm currently on the waiting list for one in Norfolk. Can you do any specialist courses? I'm moving to St Neots, what's that area like, is it busy ect how are…

Hello! Anyone here on the April intake? Have you received your offer letter yet?

Well I'm supposed to be joining Cambs as a special this April on the 27th but at the moment none of my references have been returned much to my annoyance as the forms were sent to my employer a while back so despite being told they would be done nobodys bothered to return them and my other references are educational ones so its the Easter holidays so they wont get returned for at least two weeks I have already deferred my intake once I was supposed to be on the January one and I really dont want to defer again quite worried at the moment this happened to anyone else? if so how did it turn out?

Hi all Just wanted to know about the vetting process for Cambs Specials, I had my final medical the other day passed that no problem and recruitment emailed me asking me to confirm I could attend all training sessions listed on the timetable to which I said I could do all sessions. Anyway do they let you know if you've passed vetting? as I submitted my vetting forms via email in November then they sent me one saying they will process it straight away. About a month ago they contacted me asking me to provide other contact details for my employers reference as the ones I gave did not work for them so I did that and since then they have not contacted me about vetting or any…

Hi all :D This is my first post on here I am in the process of joining Cambs police as a special I had my fitness and medical the other week and passed them both woo :D anyway I have to go back for a final medical on the 25th of March was just wondering what this will entail? The nurse I had my first medical with didn't really shed much light on what happens in it apart from that it was with the Force Medical Adviser and I would be tested for drugs. So is it just a repeat of the first medical and what happens in it this time? sorry for dragging that out any info would be greatly appreciated :D
