Hi guys just wanted to ask a question, I'm at that point in my life where career options are important and I have only got one question left. Strathclyde VS BTP The only thing going against the BTP at the moment is one thing. Do things actually happen in the BTP or is most of their work reactionary. I dont want to join up to see no "action". I understand that police work is not what it is on the t.v i have several relatives in the force but the reason I cant ask them is that they are not very helpful and often give a "tinted" view of their work. Thats the only question I have left. I dont want to join Strathclyde so I end up always responding to domestics where no one …

What is the current (2011) London weighting given to Pc's working in the underground area? Not after the whole salary and I don't want to make people talk money, was just after what the London weighting bit is.. Many thanks in advance Tango

Has anyone read whats been posted on the BTP recruitment website under the latest news section? I have been on there this morning and it doesn't look good at all for all of us who are in the BTP recruitment system waiting to become a new Police Constable. It states there will be no more intakes for the remainder of the financial year 2010/2011. It also says we should all have some correspondence sent out this week in relation to our applications and what this change means for us. It does go on to say more as well. Has anyone called recruitment for an update regarding this issue or has anyone had anything sent out via post or email from recruitment regarding this news? I d…

Hi, all. We're in the middle of a tidy up, as some of the Force Specifics have a lot of very old topics in them (there's stuff from 2005 in here!). Next weekend, I'll be binning anything that's older than twelve months unless there are any burning reasons why people might want them kept. If so, drop me a line. Cheers.
