http://www.gastongaz...ard-hailed.html I hope this man gets the medical attention he needs and can retire without feeling like he has to resort to something like this again. It's sad that things like this can happen in the "civilised" world.

Notation by Col Tom Leo, Commemorative Air Force: - The worlds only flying B-29 Stratofortress has taken to the air again This is one of the combat airplanes that flew from Iwo Jima, Saipan, and Tinian islands to bomb Japan and help win the war. It was usually escorted by P-51 Mustangs to protect her from enemy fighters but many thousands of planes and aircrews were lost fighting for our country. This happened at a time in history before we had long range missiles and electronics. These planes were flown by men from our farms and cities who left their families at home and risked their lives in high altitude gun fights. It was up close, brutal and extremely dangerous …

He was certainly an interesting character. Peace campaigner Brian Haw has died after "a long hard fight" against lung cancer, his family has announced. Mr Haw, 62, set up a camp in London's Parliament Square in 2001 in protest against UK and US foreign policy. In March 2011, a High Court ruling obtained by London's mayor forced him to move his camp on to the pavement. In a statement posted on Mr Haw's website, his family said he had died on 18 June in Germany, where he had been receiving medical treatment. They said Mr Haw, previously from Redditch, Worcestershire, passed away in his sleep in no pain. An additional statement on his website from his campaign repres…

Anyone watch this programme? It's really hard hitting and difficult to watch at times, but very moving. I am pro assisted suicide and believe that people should have the absolute right to their life (and death) and body. Anyone else see it?

A plumber used Twitter, blogs and online videos to expose his wife's affair with her boss, a court heard. Mr Haynes, from Billingshurst, West Sussex, said Mr Puddick should have taken up his anger with him alone.Mr Puddick denied the charges at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court. Anyone here know what Geocaching is? Some of you may know as well as enjoy this fun activity however it has its problems with people acting suspiciously and sometimes being reported doing things that look or could be mistaken as being up to no good. Geocashers are encouraged to keep what they are doing secret infact it adds to the fun of the activity. Of course if they are approched by the police they should explain they are geocashing but would you know what it is? This can be a real problem in London were terrorism is more likely. I Geocach and my kids love it. you dont have to like it but its a good idea to at least know what it is. http://www.geocaching.com/ …

Award-winning Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator Pauline Palmer took her role seriously. When she wasn’t on the lookout for criminal goings-on in her neighbourhood, the 71-year-old was keeping an eagle eye on what neighbour Brian Collins, 51, was up to. She watched him from the day he moved in, a court was told. For three years, Mrs Palmer kept a detailed diary on his activities – including sessions in his garden hot tub with women, and when he had sex in his bedroom. In one of her notes, she wrote: ‘I saw Mr Collins in his hot tub with two women. He said “get your t**s out, b****â€.’ In her diary, she also recorded when women stayed overnight with Mr Collin…
