Rearing to go, on your marks get set... To those of us who like running/sprinting how did you find taking part in a marathon, if you've ever participated? I'm doing the Windsor Half Marathon next Sunday. I originally signed up to raise awareness about how breast cancer also affects young women as my adorable cousin was diagnosed with the disease about a year and a half ago. Sadly her life was tragically cut short as she passed away last Tuesday from secondary brain cancer in her early 30s. I'm sure lots of us have our our sad encounters with the disease. So I'm running to help raise awareness and fund research into cures and treatments and been training like a pro la…

I was reading the editorial about this in my local paper today and it raised the point about what an appropriate sentence for such an occurence would be, especially in light of the fact that the victim threw the first punch which could quite easily have led to Cromwell being in the position the victim is now in. One certainty is that alcohol fuelled violence continues to ruin lives and it is tragic that a man has been left with such terrible injuries over a petty argument about two football teams.

His not even taken the hint from his own party to resign! Just what steps did you take Mr Wright when you were head of children's services at Rotherham Council??? Pressure is growing on South Yorkshire's police commissioner to resign in the wake of a damning report into child abuse in Rotherham. News article from CBC. If witness accounts are correct, words fail me: Witnesses to the incident said the cyclist was biking the wrong way down the street when a police car moved to intercept him. They said they saw the cruiser back up over the cyclist. “They ran over the guy, the guy ended up under the car. For an entire 15 seconds; he was under the tire in a fetal position,” Alexandre Beaulieu told Radio-Canada. The witness said he saw the officers get out of the car, saw the man caught under the wheels, then get back into the patrol car and roll over the victim a second time. Other witnesses corroborated his account. Link to full news article: http://www.cbc.ca/ne…
