Well the title pretty much describes this one. Basically over the last two years I have had a day job which I have not really enjoyed but not really hated either. I am a manager for a large firm and It pays well. It means I have weekends off and organising annual leave etc is pretty easy so no real hassles. I also never have to take work home with me. The people I work with are generally ok and I get on well enough with the directors etc. However since being a special I have found myself becoming more and more bored/fustrated with my job. Hello chaps and chapettes, A few questions for the greybeards of the forum. Has anyone had any experience in using bad character evidence as part of an interview or a casefile? How did you do it? How did you find it went? Was it any help in interview/court? I've done some reading about it over the years, and I've had quite a few bodies where it seems like it would be a useful addition, however I am somewhat uncertain as to it's practical application? Do you put the fact they have relevant bad character to them flatly in interview? Wouldn't they just say they "Oh well, I didn't do it this time yeah?" And I assume you mention such evidence has been alluded too on an MG3? …

Hi Guys, I've been a SC in summer Cornwall for 10yrs, I regularly come up to London with some Sc & Reg colleagues. we normally stay at "Bernard Morgan House " City London Section House, near the Barbican at a very reasonable rate. unfortunately it is now closed as its being sold. So I went to the shops today to get the weekly food shop. I thought I'd chuck in a cheeky bottle of wine to have at some point and went to the till as normal... I was using the self-service machines and so it flagged up for authorisation for alcohol - not an issue, I'm 30. When the assistant came over I expected the usual acceptance of looking old enough, but on this occasion I was asked for ID... I am looking for information or if anyone has had any experiences of Police care for any officers (specials or regs) that have or are suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder.
