Hello, does anyone know if there are any specific restrictions on specials nationwide? I know in some forces specials cant drive response due to insurance purposes but they are allowed and expected to do everything else (which should be the case) The obvious difference is pay but as specials are bestowed with the same powers etc as regulars surely there shouldnt be many restrictions as this could prevent them doing the role of a constable? I have read on here quite often that regulars outrank specials, this must be an England force structure as in Scotland regulars and specials are equal after probation period, the only difference is when you become a sgt etc then th…

Hi, What legislation is in place to request to see someones face for identification purposes? Examples may include: Either issuing a FPN on the street. or reporting for summons? I am aware of the COPLAND reason for arrest, but this is surely not the only option if we need to be sure of identity. Thanks

Hi guys, Basically I am required to attend court. I work in retail as part of the management team and the day it lands on, my manager is on holiday (literally, out of the country) and the other member of management is down south as part of a new store opening. It's not possible for him to pull back from this as everything is all set in stone and he's currently down there now. US security agents are to be based at Heathrow and some other UK airports for the duration of the Olympic Games, according to Sky sources. The Department for Transport has reached an agreement with the US Transportation Security Administration for specialist agents to be based at several UK airports.
