As well as the obligatory grumble about facial recognition, which he said they were getting a lot of complaints about, I asked in what ways being a police officer had changed him both good and bad things. Ok so im on bail, think it's safe to say they dont give two monkeys about me getting stuff for work but what's with the ingoing rudeness/ignorance ? I put my enquiry into 101 weeks ago. I got a missed call off a private number at something like 8.40pm weeks ago I was in the shower. 101 confirmed it was the police who called me, and assured me they would call back. Well whoever it was DIDNT call back and thus every subsequent call has been ignored. My partner too has tried seeking updates from 101 who claim to pass enquirues through. So either someone is lying or the OIC just doesn't care.

I had previously made an application to the Specials and failed to disclose one of my cousins from my grand mothers sisters side has a history for serious assaults and drugs offences and was not granted vetting - this was actually quite a good few years ago. Came across this video online relating to two Met PCs attached to their parks policing team remonstrating with a dog walker in a dog walking restricted area of the park, the two bobbies cite the Royal Park Byelaws and he goes on his way. The future of the Special Constabulary According to official statistics, as of Sept 2024 , there are only 5,818 link, Specials in England and Wales. Does the Specials have a future? I would say that at the current rate (2018 had 11,000) of decline, we are likely to see some Constabularies disband their SCs, especially once natural wastage starts taking an effect upon the senior/experienced Specials. I think that the lack of any meaningful 'pay' - to include: a salary, tax-free annual/monthly bounty, 30-days 'volunteer allowance', council tax rebate, etc, - is having a terrible impact. The officer in charge of the case has actively chosen to ignore emails from the defendents solicitor asking for updates and also ignored a 101 request for them to collect clothes Is this something that you lot do on a regular basis, ignoring legal representatives or do you pick and choose who to answer? I think it's bloody rude and disgusting to be quite frank!!!!!

Hi all. I've been a little confused on the wording of S32 PACE in regards to searching upon arrest. It states that a constable must have reasonable grounds to believe he will find DIE (items relating to danger, evidence or escape), but what if the constable doesn't have belief (or he only suspects)? I know that a person will have to be searched at the station under S54, but does S32 suggest that you, as a constable, can't always search if you don't have the grounds to do so?
