You're off duty in your favourite fast food restaurant when you see a marked van outside, the local SNT Sgt and a number of PCSOs out on patrol. A few PCSOs decide to go inside the restaurant and order some coffee. As they are on duty Police staff, the staff serve them free of charge. Are there any offences committed by the staff and PCSOs? If so what do you do: 1) Give words of advice to the offending party. 2) Report the matter later. 3) Have a word with the Sgt. 4) Turn a blind eye. 5) Something else.

Policeman who accused chiefs of bullying sacked over 'mortgage'
Remmy + posted a topic in UK Policing News
A police officer who accused his own force of bullying and persecution has been sacked for mortgage and council tax irregularities, despite being cleared of the same offences in court. Ch Insp John Buttress, from Greater Manchester police, was dismissed from the force on Monday after being found guilty of gross misconduct at a police disciplinary tribunal, held behind closed doors. A panel ruled that he had claimed a single person discount on two properties when he was only entitled to one discount, and of applying for the wrong sort of mortgage when he started to rent out his holiday home- 14 replies

A misconduct panel has found Avon and Somerset Chief Constable Nick Gargan guilty of eight counts of misconduct. Mr Gargan, 48, was suspended on full pay last May following allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women. The inquiry, which took taking place behind closed doors, has twice been delayed while issues relating to document disclosure were discussed. The findings will be reported to Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens. She will decide Mr Gargan's future after studying the report. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-33459460?ns_mchann

I was reading The Daily Fail and this article has provoked a question in my mind: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3116720/Grandmother-groped-ambulance-paramedic.html In essence, a Paramedic undertook a grotesque episode of granny groping in the back of an ambulance. He pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office, but his conviction was quashed as it was ruled that a Paramedic does not hold public office. I recall another incident of some Paramedics that were convicted after they chose not to attempt resuscitation on a man who, by all accounts, who lived in squalor, and their actions
