I am a lecturer at a northern university and am currently writing a book to help UK police officers, in all ranks and roles, carry out writing tasks more efficiently and effectively. I have been involved in writing training with the police service for some years, so I have some idea of the monumental task paperwork can be. The book is in response to what officers on my courses have said they would like. and aims to make this process easier and less time consuming. I don’t want the book to be another grammar and punctuation book; I would like it to be totally relevant to your sector. There are such books available for US police officers but none in this country. This i…

Hi all I have fallen in love with a man who I discovered is a uk pc constable. He has been in the force for 8 years. We connected on line and things have been going so fast. he also has a second job. I work for the same company as him. By inputting my name and address into the police system at his policing work -could he obtain any details about me. I was a bit of a naughty girl in my teen days and am worried this may jeopardise what we have. The incident is going back 25 years ago.

Hi all, I am in the process of transferring from West Yorkshire to North Yorkshire. Will all hopefully be confirmed in a month or so. As I am relocating the whole family, I am looking to buy a house in the coming months. In the meantime I need a room to get my head down whilst on shift. Anyone have / know of a Police officer who has a room to let in the Scarborough area for a couple of months.... for a reasonable price??? Thanks

HI... I'm a crime writer leaning on your kind selves for research. If an officer has suspicions about a vehiche can he apply to have it tracked using the ANPR system? How would he or she do that if so? Would it be a lenghty process and what sort of results would come back if the query was approved. In this case he has already discovered that the vehicle in question is using false plates - they come up as registered to a different vehicle. Your help, as always, is hugely appreciated.

As the title says, are there any Met officers who commute in from West of the force area (by that I mean Reading, Newbury, Swindon etc). If you do, how easy is it, where are you based & what is the commute like? A bit about me; I live & work in South London but my partner lives in Wales. We are looking to move to somewhere easy for me to get back to London, and somewhere easy to get to Wales to see his children regularly. We have pretty much settled on the M4 corridor, but I am wondering how far I can realistically move out & still work for the Met without a nightmare journey (trains stopping early, for example, which would be useless for a late turn, or n…

I've already reduce my sons activity but I suppose that I can't tie up my son to his bed. Today the neighbour knock at my door at 7h50 pm complaining once more. I don't know what else I can do.
