Is it legal to record a meeting with my teacher. What happens if I forget to ask permission. Can I quote the conversation.

I was arrested in October of 2015 (around 1 year and 4 months ago) and had a large quantity (around £6000) of computing equipment including PCs and my games consoles seized by Police Scotland for investigation. I was scheduled to appear in court the very next day, however my case was "not called" and I was released from the court building. Since then I have been battling back and forth with my Lawyer to try and get my property returned. If someone is being harassed by any family member and nothing can be resolved and he/she requires a place to stay temporarily do the police arrange this? If so with who? Does the police officer take he/she to the new accommodation after the police station?

Hello, When Police question you in your car at your door or in the street do citizens have the right to speak through their lawyer to the Police rather than directly either on the phone or in person? Many of us are unaware of our rights, however speaking to a lawyer at the time of offence seems sensible to me. Thanks.

Hi, If you are on a non harassment order and you pass the complainer going to work unintentionally and it's unavoidable to turn around because of traffic and danger doing a u turn how do the police and judges view that as a breach or an order in tact? I'm trying to get to grips with the law on assault. Through internet research assault has many different meanings. One of the one's that contradict on the internet is provocative behaviour that leads to assault. I have a question. My parents reported an untaxed and uninsured vehicle to the police. It took 3 weeks for police to respond to the matter and by then the vehicle was insured. The police spoke to the owner who denied using it when it wasn't insured. This was a lie but my parents understood they needed to have two eyewitnesses and there was only one witness (my mum). The police also told them that the askMID online database is not reliable. However, the vehicle is still being used and is showing as untaxed since September 2015. How serious do the police take child accusations? If you're working in or visiting a public place such as a museum and library you often encounter bad ill mouthed children who have been taught no manners by their parents and make various allegations which they tell the police so and so barred me from going into the library forced me out etc What is the best way to deal with these kids without Police involvement or cant you escape it without Police intervention.

Are they criminal defence lawyers at all police stations? How long do those lawyers take to get to you or is everything by phone when you're in a cell? Are you more likely to be detained longer with waiting on a lawyer? I'd imagine your own lawyer will not attend the Police interview as they will be either too busy, or on holiday.

Hi there, I understand the knife law of no lock knives and no fixed-blade of longer than 3 inches without an appropriate reason (cullinary etc). But what are laws on hatchets/axes? I haven't seen it online at all. Basically, I want to take a small axe/hatchet (similar to this or this) and a knife (similar to this or this) in my 90litre rucksack (of course, sheathed and hidden well within the pack out of easy-access), and only bring it out in woodland areas where I will be using it to chop wood for fires and shelter, then putting it straight back into my bag. I hear this from everyone and its increasing in number by the day surely the government has to bring out a law which protects all people especially innocent men. Do police officers keep computer records of allegations made against someone. So, if Mary call the police on Harry 10-20 times different police officers will know that Mary has called them 20 times in the past year? I don't understand why the Police do not see that some people especially women get a buzz and power status calling the police on men that anything they say will be bible.
