Hi, i'm new so please be gentle with me! I moved into my property nearly 5 years ago and at first had no problems (apart from noise) from my neighbour. Last year things escalated where she constantly harassed me, my parents, sons and partner over where I placed my wheelie bins on my property (of all things!). Wherever I moved them she would ask me to move them again and I stupidly did so until eventually I did snap and tell her where to go. Hello all, Quick question regarding NIPs and the 14 day rule. If the offence occurs on the 8th of June and the NIP was issued on the 26th of June, that's means it failed the 14 day rule doesn't it? Just curious as my colleague is convinced he has done the work in time and we had a barney over the timings.

After asking for repayment after nearly 5 months of waiting I was subjected to a torrent of abuses that ended in him threatening to 'put my teeth down my throat' and 'taking a hammer to me house.' usually idle threats like this would not warrant further action, however as I am currently living with my elderly Grandparents this causes me to have some concern for their safety. If you passed your test after 1997 (car only) what trailer can you tow? I assume its nothing, but what about those really really tiny ones people use to take hedge trimmings to the recycle place? Is it to do with weight limit or is any trailer a no go on a B licence?

On a social networking site I posted a joke, it was an old joke about a 2 seater airplane crashing into a cemetery and search & rescue had recovered more bodies as it was an Irish cemetery. Would that break the Malicious communications act or any other act? Concerns have been raised on a consumer forum, in a section dealing with debt etc. The crux is that following the introduction of new procedures for "Taking Control" of goods, specifically vehicles, it would appear that Enforcement Agents may be using clamps, not as a means to prevent removal, by the debtor, pending resolution of the situation, but to deprive the debtors the vehicles use for a protracted length of time, up to 12 months. I love my customers: today, I had one of them need to provide proof of address and she gave me her charge sheet* (and being a nosy parker, I had a read). She had been charged with an offence under Sec 2 of the Licensing Act 1902 which is being Drunk in Charge of a child (apparently under 7). Anyone used this (obviously someone in A&S has...)? What sort of things do you consider/evidence/points to prove? Arrest? In that case, what about the child? Or is it report for summons and copy Child Services? It seems like a good bit of legislation when you have a large outdoor drinking community. *No shame, some people.

Just a quick one, I was escorted (given a lift) off a dual carriageway by 2 officers a couple of Friday night's back. I was jogging home from work, running towards the traffic, but on the grass verge, in a well lit stretch and wearing a white t shirt. One of the officers basically told me he would 'nick' me if I didn't comply with their request to get in the car. As I had work in the morning, I didn't fancy being taken to the station for protesting my point that I was doing nothing illegal, but I'm curious as to what offence I would've been committing, as I know the dual carriageway doesn't prohibit pedestrians, and has no (M) suffix.
