Somebody I know joining the Police has recently split with a partner a few days ago and now learnt that this partner has made a deliberate and false accusation direct to the force they're trying to join in an effort to ruin their chances, what should they do in this circumstance? Approach that same force directly? Can they raise a counter charge of wasting police time and making a false accusation? The person I know had somebody on the phone during part of the time this ex has made the allegations for, so they have witnesses(by ear anyway) to the effect they were not violent in any way. What a spiteful and hateful thing to do...

On a road you are travelling at 50mph in a clearly marked 50mph zone. There is a speed limit sign on the left changing to 60mph. However on the right of the right there is a 50mph sign. This is a real situation I saw yesterday, what had happened in reality was the 50mph sign had been turned around 180degrees by some method. What is or isn't enforceable in this situation?

questions for you guys as to what your views are. facts are:- argument in a pub. woman is verbally very threatening and shouting so close to blokes face that he feels spit. he moves her backwards by putting his hands on her shoulders but she is so drunk she falls on her back! Is there something within PACE that stipulates at the point of charge the suspect must know all the evidence against them?

How do you interview and get an offender to TIC similar offences? What forms need to be filled in ? Generally what is the procedure?

If a criminal breaks into a capture car how do you play it when you go to interview that thief? What information do you give to the solicitor? Obviously you don't want to give the registration number in custody or to solicitor. Anything else? How do you keep the car identity secret in court as well and what forms do you need to fill in?

Evening all, Is anyone aware of the legislation that determines that police officers must attend magistrates court on a not guilty plea when they have been summonsed? The reason I ask is I was summonsed to attend court as a witness with very very short notice. By short notice, I mean I was at my day job and I was given 30 minutes to get to the court room! As a key witness to an assault police, I felt it necessary that I was there pretty sharpish. Because of this, I had "unauthorised absence" from my day job and this has led into a disciplinary hearing. Had quite a few door to door sellers (hawkers?) down my way lately. The ones that knock on your door, got a big holdall, towells, kitchen gear, etc. The spiel has been on three occasions at my house "Hello mate, heres my permit (shows clumsily made hawkers licence from somewhere up north), im on a rehabilitation program following incarseration and wondering if i can interest you in ....etc" Are there any reportable offences here or is it an area for trading standards? Hello All, I was hoping you can advise me. I post the below in an honest and frank account in order to seek clarification of the situation and law. I am unhappy with the Police who I feel are siding with a bailiff who performed an illegal immobilisation of my vehicle.
