I know we've had a topic on amber lights being used on vehicles' roofs, and was just wandering if the same rules apply to amber strobe grille lights or not?

My Husband was arrested in March of this year and has has 2 previous bail attends. He was due for the 3rd attend and told he would be re-interviewed on 24th september this year. The case has been long and complex and has also been fought on our behalf by our local MP. My husband IS completely innocent but as the arrest was done under the Proceeds of crime act (POCA) the onus to prove his innocence has been on him. The case is being taken in conjunction with the Environment Agency and the police. The EA are leading the case / prosecuting. In london you are "not allowed" to drink on buses or tubes. I'm 99% certain its not against the law if you do, you're just breaking the T+Cs. Are there any other bylaws that we should be aware of. What about on overground trains? Do BTP have any extra powers to deal with that? Thanks

If someone has been found guilty at a magistrates court but lodges an appeal at Crown Court and then (before the Crown Court case is heard) an internet group appears claiming the person is innocent and making allegations about the witness/victim, is that contempt of court (or some other offence)? I know there have been high profile cases in the past claiming peoples innocence, but I am aware that there are different types of appeal, so I'm not sure at what point it becomes legal to have a campaign that might prejudice a court case.

Just been reading this BBC News article Navy seizes cocaine 'worth £240m', and it struck me, do the Navy (and any other relevant agency/force) have an actual power to seize suspected drugs, or is it just the same as if a member of the public found some and handed it in at a police station? Hello Everyone, I'm new here and was pointed in this direction by a friend. I'm 17 years old, 18 in a few weeks. I have a quick question, when I was 13 I was given a police reprimand for a very idiotic (on my part) reason and fully accepted it etc.. It was for nothing major. I was just wondering how long it will stay on my "record" for? As I've been offered a job in the airport that requires an enchanced CRB check and I know that it will show up - But I vaguley remember the sergent at the time telling me if I keep my nose clean until I was 18 it would be 'removed' from my record? Can a ringtone be offensive/rude and if so would you give a warning or make an arrest?

I wonder if anybody could offer some advice on a question of whether it is right or wrong for a property developer to hire a couple of eastern europeans (nationality unimportant) to live in a semi derelict industrial building under the pretext of providing security for the site? I am sure that this would raise a legal issue with using a commercial building for domestic purposes and safety concerns with sleeping in a 'dodgy' industrial building? Has anybody come across any similar situations???

i have been explaining my dilemma in whether or not to call a uk woman while i am from israel she said she would call the police but if i call only once can she really file any complaint? furthermore all she has is my last and first name and mobile number... how can the police ban me from the uk if all they have is my first and last name and mobile number while i am in israel can they really?

Is it legal for a person of sound mind over the age of 18 to carry an air weapon around in a carry case or keep one in a carry case, locked in the boot of the car?

i have been asking about whether or not a uk woman can file charges against a man from israel for simply calling her once after 2 years of no contact after bad seperation with her threatening the man not to call or she calls the police i was told the woman can go to the station and ask to file a complaint whcih will be logged and possibly block this man from entering the uk...is this really possible? furthermore can she do such a thing if all she has is the man's first and last name and mobile phone number and lets not forget the man lives in israel which is far? can it really reach a point where he is blocked from the uk? please do answer my question?

Something's gotten my goat recently (something else, that is!) and that is the often pointless statements that CPS request off us now and again. Take for example a request to get a statement from a witness exhibiting or producing an exhibit that is to be used in evidence. Now I fully appreciate that exhibits not produced by a witness are inadmissible in evidence and that there are good reasons for this; I don't wish to discuss this. After a charge the defendant will either plead guilty or not-guilty. If there is a guilty plea then presumably the defendant is not contesting the legitimacy of any exhibits (whether, legally, this means that exhibits still need a witness …
