After reading the thread on cling filmed cars I got thinking about those cars running about with a Matt Black Finish on them. Now these finishes are just stickers cut to the car spec. DVLA says that there is no need to inform them of a colour change using the stickers if it is not permanent. Given that the process can cost hundreds if not thousands dependent on the make, model and age of car, it is not very likely that it will be taken off after a few weeks or even months. It is nearly 3am my student neighbours still having a party. I already call the police they said I need speak with my neighbours first, I tried it but just made it worst. I can't believe you do whatever what you want they won't come out until somebody don't get hurt. I need to wake up 6am I got 3 hours left and I called the police 5 times I'm really desperate but they won't do anything. I don't feel its right. Off course if I go over and smash those little retard students the police will arrest me and they still can carry on, only what I want just to sleep. Why the police can’t react any more?

Hi All, He's one for you all. The local supermarket were my partner works have brought in new security measures which included car,body and bag searches, now if i'am right they cannot do random bag or body searches without good cause and without your consent to do so and if they refuse they have been told their will be disciplined, as for the vehicle search they can only look in the boot but have been going through the inside of the car including the glove box. Can anybody help me with what they can and cant do because i think they are breaking the law themselves. Thanks

I have an upcoming interview, and one of the questions I suspect is to explain the differences between seizing money under the terrorism act and under POCA. If anyone could add some pointers to the below, I would be grateful! Now I've had a bit of a google, but struggled to many answers. All I can find out is that under the Terrorism Act, theres no minimum limit (i.e. £1000) and you need the authority of an Inspector to authorise the seizure. The police are involved and social services I have put in to gain full custody of him. I'm thinking of purchasing an ex-police BMW which is really cheap but it's been very well maintained. The car still has a working siren and a lightbar on the top. What are the laws with this? Will I have to remove/disconnect them or can I keep them?

This isn't another thread about discussing battenburg or blue lights, I just want to ask about specific points of law. In other threads discussing RVLR and impersonation there seems to be a consensus that battenburg (even where coloured blue) is not reserved for police unless it is retro-reflective. Is this because the retro-reflective material is considered a lamp? Where is that stated in law? recently I reported an incident of a loud explosion noise, i was unsure of what this was. I contacted the police to report this incident and two officers attended along with the fire brigade to check what this loud explosion noise was.
