On the whole it has been very informative and I think I understand more about what the police actually do on a day to day basis. But.... Ok it's 1:38 and I am awake and so angry.... So the people in my shared house decided it would be a good idea to throw a house party with loud music and drunk idiots. My room is on the ground floor next to the kitchen and the loo is above. Because its a shared house the kitchen door is a fire door so slams every time they go upstairs to release their drunken bowels which is very often as I have come to hear the frequent bellowing flush. Hello, I was issued a harassment warning, 1st instance, through my letterbox. I feel that this was done as the police could not be bothered to deal with an entrenched neighbourhood dispute. My neighbour, following my call to the police when she was ringing on my door bell in the middle of the night shouting obscenities, was spoken to the by the police and unknown to me then made counter allegations stating I had racially abused her. This same person had reported me to the local council, she is a tenant I am a homeowner, making malicious allegations of racial harassment for several months all of which I have had to refute on file. Hello everybody! Im new to this forum and heres my first question to all of you fellow colleagues! I've been trying to figure out what offences are being committed by fare dodgers both on trains and in particular on private rail networks such as the tram systems in Nottingham, Sheffield and Manchester. What happens after an allegation of harassment? My ex has recently stopped me having any contact with my daughter. I continued to try and make contact happen by visiting the house, calling and texting etc. I was never abusive and only ever contacted her to try and see my daughter. Ex has now contacted the police to make an allegation of harassment. Police called me and told me they are going to arrest me to interview me under caution. What are the likely outcomes? Hi All, Quick question. Could someone explain at what point arson becomes arson with intent to endanger life please? Its not as daft a question as it sounds! My thinking is there is always the possiblity that starting a fire could endanger life, most people know this. If for example they knew prior to comminting the offence that it could endanger life but went ahead anyway, could that be considered intent? The "intent" to perminantly deprive" is something I can easily get my head round but for whatever reason I'm struggling with the boundaries of 'intent' in regards to arson. This isn't exactly a legal advice question. I am just asking about a previous experience. When I was say around 14 or so on the way home from school......... I was on the bus. Being the silly little boy I used to be I told a fellow student to f*** off. This man sitting opposite said " oi you stop swearing" I then told the girl who was irritating me (albeit in a jocular sense) to "p*** off and leave me alone". A student was arrested over making offensive remarks on twitter about Fabrice Muamba. Would the police of needed some kind of warrant to find out from twitter's databases who the guy was? And what of happen if he lived in another country?

Hi all, My sister was in a relationship with an abusive drug-user (don't asky why). Their relationship ended and the boyfriend had spread malicious & false rumours about my sister and beat her up. She was bruised and battered etc, which I'm sure you guys see a lot but is nonetheless quite shocking, and took photographs and wrote a statement. The BIB decided that she should withdraw her complaint or face arrest as she hit him first (a minor slap) and facing that she withdrew the statement. Hey guys, currently doing my specials training and have a question: Section 9(1)a - Burglary with Intent covers criminal damage, However Section 9(1)b - Burglary, doesn't? So in theory, Someone could trespass onto/into a property, cause criminal damage, however if they can prove they didn't have the intention as they entered, they couldn't be prosecuted for Burglary? Or am i reading this wrongly? Many thanks.

Here's a question about the definition of a U-turn. If, in order to reverse its direction of travel, a vehicle stops in the carriageway, reverses into a service road off that carriageway to its left, then turns right would that count as a U-turn? Tim
