Hey all, I would like some advise and thoughts on the following Assault by Beating charge. Have been charged with Assault by Beating and am bailed until the court date. Location: the bar/food/merchandise hallway area inside concert venue No CCTV, No injuries, No charges pressed by 'victim' Police officers (1 male and 1 female) first stopped me any my girlfriend as we weere having 'arguing' about wanting to do different things; go back into the main hall to see the supporting act and other well they approached us, took us apart and spoke to us seperately. Hello I am sorry to post in this forum if it isn't the right place to do it, but I have been trying to get answers to this for the last 4hours and have got nowhere I have been issued with an fixed penalty fine by my local council. Is this a police matter? Does it count as a criminal matter and would I get a criminal record for it? Would it need to be declared on CRB forms? This is really stressing me out and I could just do with someone putting my mind at rest if that is possible. Thank you so much for any help/advice. Naomi

I received a caution for possession of a class A 6 years ago. Will this mean that i am not able to pursue a career in teaching? Would it mean that i cant become a sports coach working with children? Hi, I am a British lady now living in DE, for the past 10 weeks I have been a victim of a vile cyber bully, she has sent me email to me, stating that leicestershire police have a crime reference number on me and she has sent this to 14 of my friends she has even posted this on Facebook for others to comment on... Quick question which caused some debate as to whether or not a charge could be forthcoming 1 male punches and headbutts another in shopping centre in full view of public clearly alarmed by what they see. Nobody will provide a statement for fear of reprisals and the so called victim did not wish to make any complaint of assault. Incident not witnessed by Police in person but is viewed on CCTV. I came home from my day job to my Flat which is in a gated community. My designated space was taken up by another car and because I was on my way out to do a full response shift I parked my car out of the way and ran in my flat and got changed. I left 15 minutes later. I have received a letter today saying im fined for parking out of a designated bay. The parking is run by New Generation Parking. They threaten to double the fine extra if I do not pay straight away and take me to court etc. The appeals process is shocking (make it hard enough that people end up paying). Can an offence be homophobically aggravated, or not? Meaning can a person be charged with homophobically aggravated public order for instance? From what I can see, there is no legislation which makes homophobia an aggravating factor in the same way as racism. The closest I can see is sec. 146 Criminal Justice Act, but that only deals with sentencing powers of the courts, not what a person can be initially charged with. There are a couple of threads on this topic, but no recent ones I can see. Any help?

Good afternoon, I work during my day job as an IT Engineering and Sales Consultant. I recently looked to track down a fault with one of the broadband lines at our office. I telephoned BT (under the impression that BT provided the line that the service was on), and asked if they could trace a fault. I was told by the BT Engineer that the line was no longer under BT's control. When I asked the chap who did control the line now, he told me that the information could not be shared because of the Data Protection Act. This is not about me directly, honest Gov! but a matter a friend encounter. Would reporting this as theft stand? A couple (unmarried) live together, share the bills etc. However they both split up and it ends messy. She pay's the rest of her part of the rent direct to the letting agent before she moves out. She gives the now ex partner over £300 to pay off her share of the Council Tax as he is soon to leave the rented property too. Low and behold he never pays the council tax and pockets her £300. She now receives a threatening letter from the Council demanding the payment. I have to point out, she was foolish in not making him sign for the money! Cheers.

My question is this; Bike (as in bicycle, not motorbike) has no speedo, do I have a defence against speeding. Can you even be done for speeding on a bike? I got to the point of "furious cycling" by googling, but gave up as the info is contradictory. Hmmm, my question seems dickish now I've written it out. Am I right in thinking that cheating is no longer an offence unless it is part of a Theft (standard theft act definition)? I believe that there is some offence relating to the "Gaming" laws which also includes the act of cheating. However, did anything supersede the offence of cheating? Is it now encompassed by the fraud act? EDIT: Academic Cheating is not an offence, I made a mistake.........oops!

I recently received a phone call from a with held number claiming to be a PC. The conversation consisted of him telling me that I have allegedly been involved in a crime and should come to my local police station. He gave me his "police id" (a random list of numbers) and told me I could check this online.
