Hiya, I'm Razza, I'm 17 and I live and work in Lancashire. I am a Community Volunteer for Lancashire Constabulary and I have been in the role for 14 months, and I was recently awarded three awards at a ceremony which were presented to me by the ACC for completing 500 hours of service to the force. I left school with pretty poor grades unfortunatly, but on the day I left school I sent off my application to become a Community Volunteer and I have never looked back. I tried various things when I left school, jobwise, such as work in a supermarket and stand behind a counter all day which I just couldn't do. I then took a few months out to visit my family in the North East a…

Hi guys, I'm seriously considering joining either the Police or to be a PCSO, a bit unsure which at the moment but leaning more towards police officer I think. Leicester holds recruitment seminars and one may be coming up at the start of the new year, this would be a big helper. My aim would be traffic police but I better start by getting in first ! The training and tests sound like hard work but it’s something I really want to do. Well, hopefully be posting some more on here when I make my first move. Matt

I wouldn't normally do this, but I figured I'd give introducing myself a shot. So hi I've not long ago hit the 18 and half years old minimum for joining my desired police force, but I've been doing a lot of research to try and understand as best I can how it really is, to avoid any potential illusions, et cetera, and I'm sure I want to be an officer, and determined when it comes to getting there. I hope to begin the application process as soon as possible (as in, the next window), although I do understand I may need more experience or similar before I can really get anywhere, and don't imagine it'll be a walk in the park, but it's something I want to do so I'll do what …

Hi, my name's Ryan and recently I have been seriously considering becoming a police officer. Currently 17 and 3 mths and might want to enroll next year. I was particularly interested in joining the Roads Policing Unit and if possible, a motorcyclist. I'm currently studying HNC Electronic Engineering, but think a career in the police may be a more enjoyable experience. So basically... Hi

I'm Jo, I'm 28 and I'm currently thinking of joining the force. I've come to the conclusion it might be the right vocation for me because I love working with people, I love being active, I can't stand a job without variety and I HAVE to know that what I have done in a day has made a difference or it's simply not worth doing! I think that I am eligible...the only thing that may be a problem is my debt but I'm managing now and am earning less than I would be as an officer. I'm currently in retail management so spend most of my day getting yelled at...lovely. Although apparently I'm quite good at being yelled at as my regional manager even calls me to handle grumpy customers…

Have spent some time looking through the forums here and they seem to provide quite a lot of good information. I've applied for Strathclyde Police and passed the SET, initial fitness and first interview. I don't think anything will crop up from the background checks (though my dad did receive a caution in 1947 for stealing at the age of 10!!). I've always wanted to go into policing but at 5'6" tall it wasn't possible when I was younger (I'm 45 and so was under the minimum height at the time). Then when the scrapped the height restriction I was in a well paid job and was at the edge of the age restriction that was in at the time! Now I shouldn't need to worry about eithe…

Just though I'd be polite and say hello before I consider posting on anything. I've been a Head Door supervisor for several years and have many friends in the force who are still trying to persuade me to cross to the other side of the fence so to speak. (please don't hold my current evening job against me, as although there are certain individuals who give doorwork a bad name, there has definately been a culture change, and it is certainly no longer the town bully with knuckles scraping along the ground who becomes the hired muscle) Anyway hello over and kind regards...

Hello everyone my name is Tera. First of all I'm not a police officer. I live in the U.S. I have joined this site seeking help with a situation I'm currently in. My ex lives in England he's been harrassing me,threatening me,stalking me online. Just the other day I recieve an e-mail from him saying he's going to kill me and all of my family. He's saying he's in Kentucky. I found out from the site administrator that's he still in England. I have proof that he did this as I have all the e-mails he has sent to me. Can someone please help me? Thank You,Tera
