Hi there, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mark, 32 years and heave recently been invited to the Assessment Day in January for the Met police. hi am new to all this forum stuff but its been great to read and full of info i am joining west mids and have been in the recruitment process for over 2 years now. through one thing and another i have to defer, delay fitness tests, was injured in a fitness test and had to sit out 8 weeks but have recently passed my fitness and scheduled to start on March 9th and cannot wait. all i can offer advice wise is percevere through this long process as its so worth it in the end. this has been the best xmas ever for me knowing i had passed it all cheers ginagstrings

Hi, I attended a postive action team recruitment event on 15th Dec and was given a draft of the CBQ's to send back to them by 18th and then they gave me some feedback and sent me an application out to send back by Christmas Eve.. I did it, but not sure how I feel about it, only just found this amazing site and I could have used it a couple of weeks ago lol! Wondering if there's anyone else going through recruitment with GMP who applied in Dec.. or if there's anyone from the same recruitment event.. would be great to have someone to go through this with.. Hi guys and gals, I've new here and have previously applied to 2 Forces, Hampshire invited to assessment centre but had to cancel it because I injured my hand and Thames Valley but I failed the application process So now in Feb 09 after my ban I'm going to re-apply again. So I want all the help I can get so I make it in this time. But also I wanted to speak to a few officers hopefully to get some more insight into the job. (One from TV and hopefully another from the London South area of the BTP) Also, I was wondering if there are any short, underweight officers here, as thats what I am 19 year old lad, 5ft 6". 8 and a half stone so pretty tiny and hoping that does…

I filled out my online application for merseyside police in september and received a letter on monday saying my application had been accepted and well done If possible can someone explain to me briefly what happens next? Have all the checks been done such as Security and financial? or is this still to come! Also will i have a fitness test at A/C or is all this seperate? o my lord im so confused with excitement lol! Cant believe ive even got this far haha but anything from now on will be a huge amazing bonus! Thanks

Hi All I spoke to Penrith HQ recently, after finding out I passed my assessment at Ryton, and they said that it will now be the 'new financial year' before anybody else will be starting that has reached this stage. So like me you will have to be patient folks! Regards J
