Hi Everyone, I'm hoping to become one of Norfolk's newest recruits ASAP! It's all been happening pretty quickly, which has surprised me. Only apllied in December '08 and have my fitness test on 2nd March and AC on 20th March. Hoping to make good use of this forum to get as much useful info as possible to stand me in good stead for what is, by all accounts, a pretty daunting process!

In fact my Physical is on Tuesday the 17th of Feb, really looking forward to it. It was delayed due to me having an operation on my ear a feweeks ago but im all good and ready to roll. Ive been waiting for this for 1 year and a half now so im gonna give it all my best (really excited). Ive been down the gym nearly everynight just to prepare for it so I should be good.

I just wanted to stop by and say hello to all those serving and wishing to serve the public. I am living in Washington D.C. and am applying with their force. In fact, I am taking the written test Feb 7th. Can't wait. I am also applying for dual-citizenship in Ireland, which I should have in a month. Would love to move to England or anywhere in Europe. Talk soon! Garrett

Hi, I'm new to this forum so HELLO. Also I'm not a Police officer, just a civi. I'm trying to find an answer to a question. I got my front number plate knocked off today (Great), but it suits the car better not having it on. Can you drive with just the rear plate, or will I get pulled. Cheers.

Hi I applied to join west yorkshire police in Sep 08, passed my AC in Jan & have my fitness test in March hopefully all will go well. I wanted to join the police when I was at school but life kind of took over & now after a 17 year career in IT & 2 children at the age of almost 35 I thought i'd give it a go!! Fingers crossed - some say i must be mad to give up my cushy job - i'd say i'm bored out of my mind!

Hi, I came across this site when looking for advice on filling out the police application form. I recently had an application for regulars with GMP but unfortunately failed the paper sift - didn't pass the competency based questions. I've currently got an application form for GMP's specials and am working through that at the moment. As I work in customer services, I want to do something different and useful that is more related to my degree.

Hi. I'm non-Police, and work for a company that supplies haemostatic agents. I'm not here to bang the drum, or flog my wares (hence not mentioning the name of my product, either here or in my username), but I do get a lot of interest from the Police in what we offer. I'm here to scan the forums and answer questions/offer advice as and when necessary (if ever). I'm benign, and hope not to annoy anyone.

Hi all I use to be a PCSO and now i'm a PC. I was wondering who else on this site has come from a similar background and what do you think of your new role. My thoughts is that i feel much more happy in the work place and feel people respect me more both in the station and on the street i.e. colleagues and the public, however, this frustrates me because i don't see the reason why people treated me different in the first place. I am still the same person just in a different uniform. Overall i find my new role more fruitful as i am no longer restricted to the old rules and it has made me a happier person. What are your thoughts on this subject??

Hello All Could I please have your opinion on something. I applied for the CNC ack in Feb 2007 I got a letter back in July 07 sying that I had been successful and was to attended the Assessment centre in September. After 1 month cramming I attended and passed. I then passed the Medical in March 2008 and the Fitness in April 2008. In August my application was binned as they couldnt run the September course. 1 week later I reapplied and was informed mid Sept 2008 that I have passed and would again have to go to Ryton, again I passed but this time went straight to the fitness test again passing. I have now been informed that I am not on the March intake and will have to un…
