New Member Introductions

Evening all, hope your all well. Im currently working as a motor mechanic and am looking to apply for the met police some time towards the end of this year as the motor industry is dying rapidly, i was wondering if any one could tell me how often the met hold there open days as you have to go to one to get an application pack. Also i have large tattoos on the inside of both forearms one is a tiger with my mothers name in kangi on my wrist, and the other one is a japanese style dragon with my dads name in kanji on my wrist, would these be seen as offensive as they both have rather large teeth. Hi people , hope your all ok. I'm not a serving officer or anything to do with Police but I was recommended to come and check this site out because I am really really interested in joining either norpol or durpol Specials, not just yet maybe next year or the year after as i'm not really in any sort of hurry and would rather get more life experience first. If anyone has experience of being a Special in either of these forces I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Anyway for now.

Hi to all members hope you are all well. Iam currently a serving member of the armed forces but one who wishes to pursue my ambitions of bring a police officer in the Minisrty Of defence Police. I can see by some of the post on here that a few people have applied for this force or infact are serving officers, if anyone can help me with some bits and bob then please reply. I have already applied for the force last year but got turned down because I have an England tattoo yes England tattoo but at great cost have been using laser traetment for the last 4 months to remove it which is giong well. I could do with a bit of help with paper sift. Been in the military for 13 years…

hey everyone, i have my ac day one for the met on friday!!!! am so nervous, especially about the interview, have no clue what to say lol. and the more and more i read tips etc the more i think im going to mess it up! anyone have some good advice for me? laura x

Hi everyone, I have an induction date for 20th March at Essex Police College. Its been a long 2 and a half years but its finally all come good. I really cant wait and look forward to seeing a few faces that I will recognise from the A/C and the Physical test. Hi I wonder if someone could shed some light for me? I have a application to GMP for the specials however, I have noticed GMP are recruting full time officers starting tomorrow 25 Feb. I know you can only apply to one force at a time but am I restricted to apply for a full time position as I have a application pending? Thanks

Hi, I am about to start to complete my MoD police application form.. any advice from anyone? Has anyone ever used/payed fo the application form checking service on www.in2police.co.uk or a similar type of thing, what is it like, is it worth paying our for it? Steve.

I did join this forum years ago but only made a few posts. I cant remember my username or anything so I've re-registered. I'm 28 and all I ever wanted to do is to become a cop. But, and its a big but, whilst I was applying in 2000, I managed to screw my life up by being banned for Dangerous Driving (12 months). Obviously something that I'm not proud of, but its done now. I passed the mental test and was booked in for the assessment day when it happened. I'm pretty sure at the time that I was told I could not reapply until 10 years from the date of conviction, I am going to call up to double check it. Can anybody on here confirm it? Also, how will that be looked …

Hello to all, Would like to introduce myself to you all in a hope to find some other members either in or applying to Beds Police. I've recently applied to the police after serving 7 years in the Army as a communication specialist. I'm married with a daughter, two german shepherd dogs and a horse. I'm currently living in Aldershot, but relocating to Milton Keynes in the coming months. I'm a keen rock climber, enjoy skiing and watching rugby. I welcome any opportunity to learn from currently serving officers and would love some advice. Many thanks for reading. Rick

Hi to everyone. I'm 48 years old, have a steady job which I hate and am currently applying for my local force. I'm waiting on the papersift. Would really appreciate input on my age. From what I have seen on these pages am I too old to think of this job as a career?
