http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2401486/Two-crime-tsars-face-sack-lying-live-police-undercover-sting--new-elections-cost-taxpayers-3-6million.html ii I know the story comes in the Maul, but the story is the same in several other newspapers. The PCC for South Yorks has just picked one of his Labour Cronies as a Deputy PCC on £45,000 a year, and has spent £6000 of taxpayers money on a fancy security system for his private house, he musty have a very high opinion of his importance if he needs to spend 6 grand protecting himself.

I'm surprised have a "very small number have failed"; we're not talking about non-operational staff, we're referring to police officers. The crumby benchmark of 5.4 on the 15-metre test (not even the proper 20-metre test). Comparing this abysmal standard to other country's police forces we are the world's LOWEST! Even Australia who require 5.1 use the proper 20-metre assessment, i.e. it's harder than ours. The sooner a higher pass rate is introduced, the better. Anyone remember Sergeant Andy Sharp...

Original story, thou I still not see anyone kicked. I am going blind I think :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DVioz8xBJpI An investigation into video which appeared to show a Sussex police officer kicking a man after he was shot with a Taser has found no evidence of misconduct. Police had been called to a supermarket in Brighton after a member of staff was pushed to the ground by a man who was trying to steal food . Police traced the man to the seafront and confirmed that it had been necessary to Taser him in order to carry out a safe arrest. The incident was filmed by a member of the public, and the video appeared to show the man being kic…

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2299161/Police-wasting-millions-kit-agree-standard-issue-handcuffs-boots-Hi-vis-jackets.html Police are wasting millions on kit because they can't agree on standard issue handcuffs, boots or hi-vis jackets. Police chiefs are wasting millions of pounds when buying basic kit because they cannot agree on the details - such as how many pockets a uniform should have. The national spending watchdog found widespread disagreement between forces about what kind of high visibility jackets they prefer for their officers and how they like their handcuffs. As well as disagreeing on many pockets a police uniform needs, forces also hold oppo…

Theresa May hailed him as a 'model' of prisoner reform - but now burglar is back in JAIL after being rejected for 50 jobs. Ms May got it all wrong again, her model prisoner isn't so model now, he is back inside. She should have kept her mouth shut.
