http://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/story/2013-08-19/anniversary-of-missing-devon-schoolgirl/ - I remember this case well, I just wish that Devon and Cornwall could catch the bastard(excuse my french) who abducted her. It must be horrendous for her parents not knowing what happened to her, at least if they found her remains it would be some sort of closure for the parents.

The wife of the police officer who struck and pushed newspaper salesman Ian Tomlinson to the ground at the G20 protests has accused the Metropolitan Police of branding her husband 'a murderer'. Scotland Yard last week apologised 'unreservedly' for the death of Mr Tomlinson and described the actions of PC Simon Harwood, who was subsequently sacked, as 'excessive and unlawful'. Helen Harwood said: 'We're very surprised at what they said – to say I'm disgusted is an understatement. 'My husband was found not guilty of manslaughter so Scotland Yard is effectively calling him a murderer. 'We don't feel that what has been said this week is right at all. We thought we had…

Corby, the blackest spot on UK 'yob map' Map showing perception of anti-social behaviour: Click to enlarge By Philip Johnston and Nick Britten 12:01AM GMT 07 Dec 2006 The first "yob map" of England has been compiled by spending watchdogs checking whether the Government's investment in tackling anti-social behaviour is worth the money. The National Audit Office used official data and crime figures to identify which towns think they have the worst-behaved youngsters. The study published today suggests that 17 per cent of the population perceived high levels of anti-social behaviour in 2005-06, up from 16 per cent two years ago. However, many areas h…

http://thelincolnite.co.uk/2013/08/investigation-clears-lincolnshire-chief-constable-of-pcc-allegations-of-misconduct/ - perhaps PCC Hardwick will 'fall on his sword' and go. He was severely admonished by the High Court Judge, for his perverse and irrational behaviour, and Fahy has found no evidence against CC Rhodes. Hardwick is so arrogant he still cannot see that he was wrong, and makes a veiled remark in his statement which implies he still isn't happy.
